I am a self employed qualified language tutor bringing up a bilingual child. I adore languages and feel that in todays world they are of exceptional importance. I hold a BA Joint Hons in Spanish and American Studies and a Delf B2 in French in addition to a PGCE Cert/Ed. Typically I am based from my home classroom in Northampton form where i run Spanish and French Classes on a one one or small group basis, however currently I offer sessions through Skype and other online platforms. Hopefully sessions will return in house from my classroom later in the year.
I have been tutoring for 15 years. Prior to that i worked for the council in the Adult Education sector tutoring Spanish. In recent times I have started running primary school language clubs in Northamptonshire. I have worked abroad in Spain and spent considerable time in France for leisure and work. Through my experience i have tutored children from primary school age up to A level. have 15 years experience in GCSE and A level tutoring and am also an experienced GCSE examiner. In addition I have considerable experience in teaching adults, from complete beginners to advanced and i sculpt my lessons around individual needs whether for business, pleasure or academia.
I am passionate about languages and they are an important part of our experience when we travel. I love the diversity of the students that come to me for tuition and thus cater around their individual needs to ensure that they meet and often exceed their language learning goals. Languages are all about communication and establishing that through a good rapport with students is key to ensuring success and enjoyment and thus it leads to dialogue about individual needs and requirements. I always ensure that students enjoy their language experience and feel that they can approach me with any question reference their learning.

I am a Leader for Science at a mixed school in Northamptonshire where I teach all three sciences at KS3 and GCSE, I also teach Physics at A-Level. I have a full DBS check, which can be made available upon request.
I have been teaching science for 8 years so I'm used to differentiating to meet the needs of the student and am well versed with the national curriculum. I am experienced with online and distance learning, having planned and delivered online science lessons to 250 students as part of our online provision during school closures.
I have three years of experience as a GCSE examiner so have regular training on what exam boards are looking to see in students' answers.
I'm supportive and reflective and will adapt to meet the needs of your child. The first lesson will be spent taking time to get to understand more about your targets, which exam board is being studied and how to support you best. From there I can devise a personalised program to ensure success.

Clark T. (Born London, England 1961)
Early Career
Clark grew up in a jazz environment as the son of Stan T. CBE, the UK's leading jazz pianist. At 13 he started playing the drums, turning professional at 17 by joining his father's various ensembles, from trio to orchestra. Within that context, for the next 35 years he toured worldwide and recorded extensively. Following his father’s death in 2013, he wrote an award winning biography about Stan’s life entitled "The Godfather of British Jazz", released on Equinox Publishing. Clark runs two record labels, one devoted to his father’s music, Resteamed Records.
Band Leader
In 1981 Clark began the first of his many groups, employing the cream of the UK’s younger talent. His present sextet includes musicians as young as 18, prompting critics to dub him “the Art Blakey of British Jazz”. He has recorded over 100 albums (15 as a leader) and performed in over 50 countries. He runs his own record company, Tentoten Records, which issues his music.
Freelance Drummer
Clark has over 40 years' experience playing alongside some of the most important artists in jazz at home and abroad. He has been awarded "Best Drums" title six times in the British Jazz Awards (most recently in 2018) and Ronnie Scott's Award for "Best Drums" in 2007. He has endorsements with Bosphorus Cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks, Remo Drumheads and Cambridge Drums.
Educator
Clark teaches privately and has given masterclasses at British colleges, as well as numerous workshops around the UK and overseas for the British Council. In 2012 he was commissioned to write an instructional book for Schott Publishing, "Exploring Jazz Drums". Since 2012, Clark has been a Visiting Tutor at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. In 2019 Clark contributed the jazz content for the current Trinity syllabus for drum kit and in 2020 he was commissioned by a Chinese percussion academy to collate and present a brand new grading system for drums. They have also invited him to become Artist in Residence at the academy.
Promoter
From 2009 – 2021, Clark promoted weekly gigs for ‘Herts Jazz’, based in Hertfordshire, presenting leading British musicians and groups of all ages, and on a grander scale the Herts Jazz Festival with British and international artists, from 2010. In 2019 He received the British Empire Medal for services to music.

I'm an energetic and enthusiastic tutor with a handful of experience of 13 years in the teaching domain. I'm quite a flexible person and find ease in dealing with different types of students. I use various teaching methods such as narration, PowerPoint slides, videos, activities, etc. I find myself more comfortable with the age category of 5-11. I'm also interested in calligraphy and I can support my students even in developing their handwriting. Finally, I'm a person who is interested in innovative methods of teaching.

My main experience is in KS2 (Years 4, 5 and 6) but am qualified for the whole Primary age range, 5- 11 years. In my experience as a Teacher, I have taught children with Dyslexia, children with Autism, children with Aspergers, children with social and emotional needs and looked after children.
My approach is very child centered. I look at celebrating the positives first and then gradually working through the harder bits, all at the child's pace, with a view to plugging any gaps so the child can celebrate success in their learning.
I teach in many different ways to appeal to the different learning styles (auditory, visual and kinaesthetic) and believe it is important to give the child a meaningful context to their learning (i. e relate it to everyday life).
