I have over 20 years of experience in education. My specialism is maths and science but I have planned and taught English lessons as part of my daily job. I am based in Dunfermline, Scotland but have extensive experience working with online programmes and tutoring individuals and groups.
If you have heard of or used Sumdog, you will have seen my work. I designed the progression for the more than 3000 questions for mathematics and 3000 sentences for spelling. I can confidently find where a learner's strengths are and build on them and determine the barriers to progression and work with you to remove them.
I have designed GCSE exam materials for online platforms like Maths Made Easy and have contributed to a range of in person services so that they have a consistent approach to lesson delivery.
I look forward to hearing from you and working together to improve the attainment of your children and young people.

Hello! I’ve been teaching the flute privately for over 20 years, ever since I was 15. In that time, I’ve worked with students of all ages – from young children to adults – and have taught at both primary and secondary school levels.
I studied music at the Conservatory of Music in Palermo, where I built a strong classical foundation, and went on to complete a Master’s degree in Flute Performance in Rome, specialising as a soloist. Alongside my musical training, I also hold a PhD in Education, which has deepened my understanding of how people learn and helped me tailor my teaching methods to suit each individual student.
In addition to teaching, I’ve performed with several orchestras, including the Mediterranean Orchestra and the Italian National Orchestra, and I currently play in a flute quartet – which allows me to continue exploring the richness of chamber music.
I believe that learning music should always be enjoyable. Whether you're just starting out or you're an experienced flautist working on a tricky new piece, I aim to make every lesson fun and rewarding. I enjoy teaching students of all abilities, and I always tailor my lessons to suit your individual needs and goals – whether that’s mastering technique, exploring new styles, or simply building confidence.
I teach in English, Italian and Spanish, so you're welcome to learn in whichever language you feel most comfortable.
If you’re looking for supportive, flexible and friendly flute lessons, I’d love to help you on your musical journey!

Are you struggling with your Economics classes?
Take a breath! Economics is all about understanding how people make decisions to allocate their resources. Simple, right?
Let me help you grasp the fundamentals of this process, and you'll have the tools you need to tackle even the most complex concepts with ease.
I am an Economist with more than 18 years of experience guiding students from diverse disciplines to understand core economic principles, apply them to real-world scenarios and achieve academic success. My approach is tailored to each student’s unique background, helping them not only grasp complex concepts but also develop practical analytical skills.
Drawing on both my expertise and behavioural science techniques, I have created methods that consistently yield outstanding results. Students from fields as varied as journalism, psychology, and business have discovered new, practical applications for economics, finding my approach both transformative and relevant to their disciplines.

Hello. I am an enthusiastic, helpful, and approachable secondary school teacher who already has a wealth of experience teaching various subjects at different levels. My aim is to ensure that all pupils I teach are supported in order for them to reach and achieve their full potential. I currently teach Advanced Higher, Higher, and National 5 level at Modern Studies. I also currently teach National 5 History, but have had experience teaching Higher History previously. I will also be teaching Higher Politics from this year. I have also taught NPA in Criminology. I like to ensure that my lessons and the materials that I create are structured and explained in a way that is engaging, useful, and hopefully easy to understand for all of my learners. I have previous tutoring experience of National 5 level and this resulted in the pupil going on to achieve an A in the final exam.
