Welcome! I have been teaching for over twenty years as a private tutor, face to face and online. I have also had experience of teaching in the classroom in both primary, secondary and further education. My strength is my unbridled enthusiasm and a desire and joy to realise a student can do it. I oversee the Sociology teaching of 200+ GCSE and A-Level students on a daily basis. In tutoring my clients I draw on this experience to swiftly diagnose core strengths and weaknesses in both knowledge and skills, before breaking down progressive steps on how to improve. I use my comprehensive understanding of mark schemes and criteria to show clients where and how they meet Assessment Objectives (AO skills) and where they fall short. Clients are provided with a variety of resources that can be used beyond tutoring sessions to develop their skills. I also draw on my 8 years experience as a 'real-life' sociologist in helping students understand complex sociological issues and concepts.
