Science Clinic Private Tutors was founded in 2010. Our vision was to help struggling children understand the concepts of the major subjects which are sought after by many colleges & universities. Our tutoring was mainly in the main subjects (Maths, all 3 Sciences & English Language) to exam students only. Because of the huge demand of tutoring in all year groups, we now teach students across the board from Primary (KS1 & KS2) through to GCSE, A-level and University. We were luck to have had colleagues we share the same vision with join us. Now we can teach all subjects from Primary through to GCSE, College /A-levels and Science & Maths at University level. All our teachers / tutors are graduates and qualified teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who understand the National Curriculum. I have a lot of experience in language acquisition, and will be able to help you achieve your language goals in English, French or Spanish at any level. My background is very diverse, and I have lived in Chile, France, South Korea, Spain, and Kazakhstan over the course of my life, gaining an understanding of the linguistic structures and grammatical rules of 6 languages throughout the process. I am thus very well equipped to teach you how to understand grammar in simple terms, and I have a wealth of experience with regard to memorising vocabulary.
After achieving a grade of 40/45 in the IB, I began a degree in BA French and Philosophy at UCL, graduating with first class honours and spending a year studying French Literature at the Sorbonne in Paris under some of the greatest minds in the field. I then taught English for a year in South Korea, during which time I gained a TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) qualification after only having studied the language for 5 months, and acquired significant expertise in working with students of all levels. I then moved to Barcelona to complete my masters degree, before completing an exchange in Kazakhstan, where I did field research with Russian draft-dodgers for an award-winning masters dissertation that has since been published. My English language writing skills are excellent, and I have a wealth of knowledge on foreign affairs, global history and literature across a number of languages.

I am currently a full-time highly specialised KS3 and GCSE French and Spanish private tutor. I have extensive knowledge of both Edexcel and AQA exam boards. My previous experience includes working as a KS3 and GCSE language teaching assistant at an outstanding Ofsted rated secondary school in Upminster, Essex. My role encompassed a wide range of teaching activities from 1 to 1 tuition to aiding teachers in the classroom environment. Now my specialism is 1 to 1 online and face-to-face tuition and have been offering private lessons for 15 years. In the last few years I have created a wealth of additional interactive GCSE resources to meet the growing demand for online lessons. Each one of them is designed to put the student's knowledge to the test from one lesson to another. This focus on weekly incremental improvement has been vital for my current and past students in order to track their progress and identify areas of weakness that need to be targeted. My philosophy that emphasises this gradual process allows us to break down complex areas such as verb conjugation, advanced vocabulary and grammar into digestible and manageable pieces. As a result, the overall learning process becomes much more enjoyable which has been reflected in the overwhelming positive feedback I receive from students and parents alike. More importantly for me however, are the outstanding exam results my students achieve at GCSE level with many achieving at least 2 grades higher than their predicted grade.

Spangles has been successfully running Spanish courses for adults, teenagers and children in Kent since 2005. Spangles Spanish lessons are focussed on conversation and culture. Our well-structured courses are reinforced with audio tracks to assist adults and teenagers with speaking and listening.
Each child is awarded a vocabulary picture-sheet at the end of each lesson and everyone can access the interactive games on this website to assist with learning.
