I have a PhD degree in material science and engineering with great experience in private tuition. I enjoy teaching and helping students to attack problems in Maths/Science. I am teaching with pride and caring for students. After all I ensure every student will reach their full potential and enjoy learning more.
Tutoring Approach:
I take a relaxed approach to teaching and inspire tutees to fullly understand the subject.
I am an enthusiastic Secondary School teacher with a passion for all things Science. I aim to convey my enthusiasm when helping students understand scientific concepts. I love seeing faces light up when they finally get it! I specialise in Biology, have taught the new GCSE 9-1 Combined and Triple Science curriculum as well as KS3 Science.
I have both industry and education experience in teaching maths and science from KS2, KS3 up to GCSE level with positive results. I am quick at indentifying my learner's needs and combining different effective approaches in ensuring my learners attain positive outcomes.
Prior to teaching I have worked in life science Reasearch and Development and in Biopharamceutical research, sales and marketing. I also worked a part-time voluntary teaching assistant in primary and seconday schools for 2 years. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.
My background prior to teaching brings additional experience and skills to my teaching. Chemistry is my specialist subject. I have taught and tutored all sciences successfully to years 7 to 11, and have taught and tutored Chemistry and Biology at A level.
A team of experienced tutors work intensively with each your child with the aim of ensuring that each individual achieves his or her full potential in all the subjects studied. The team is headed by a qualified teacher with more than 30 years of teaching experience in schools.

Tutoring with a difference! I believe that every child has extraordinary capacities and tremendous talents! I have spent a total of four years in education and I have worked as a KS3 Cover Teacher, a KS1 and KS2 Teaching Partner, a SEN Drama Facilitator and working abroad as an EAL Coordinator. During this time I have had the absolute privilege to colloborate with a diverse range of learners and through this I have built a bank of techniques and skills that will enable your child to discover and celebrate what's unique about them as well as educating them back into their creative capacities. My main focus is on the 4Cs: Creativity. Communication. Colloboration. Confidence. I provide an environment that is both safe and stimulating for the mind. My style is both personal and collaborative, as well as, creative and dynamic. I draw from a range of resources, whether it is art, music, drama or literature to find ways for your child to actively engage with the curriculum. My main focus is to build a learner who is not afraid to take risks, a leader in their area of interest and a contributor in their local community. Graduated from the University of Exeter with BA in Drama and Theatre Studies. Trained and acted in TV, Film, Commercial and Theatre. Completed a PGCE in Primary Education in St Mary's University, TEFL trained, PSHE Lead, Shakespeare Coordinator and will be teaching Year 6 this year. Impacting a generation. One child at a time.
