I work with your child to nurture their love for learning and to boost their confidence in the classroom and beyond. Lesson will consist of prepared notes which will be discussed during the tutoring sessions. There will be supported by use of worksheets and then exam style questions. Each lesson will be based on specific areas of the syllabus that is intended to support the work that is being undertaken in the classroom. This will follow the part of the syllabus being taught in the classroom, to support and re-inforce student learning.
I use videos to support learning and these will be showed used a laptop. I will use a projector (if it is possible). If the student wishes to only look at specific areas if the syllabus, then I will undertake to produce material to support this request.

One of our First Class Learning tutors will meet with you to discuss how we can help your child with maths or English. They will then sit down with your child and complete an assessment to determine which path is most suitable for them. Once we have established your child’s needs, we will put together a bespoke course of action that will support and encourage your child’s learning.
If you feel happy with our plan and that we are the best option for you and your child, they will then be able to start attending regular classes at the centre. In these classes they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the tutor, who will give them a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.
More than 25 years exparience of teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics to GCSE. I have also taught Biology and Chemistry A-level for some time. I can work both online and at the student's home, if it is not more than 15 miles from Tunbridge Wells.
Fully qualified and working primary school teacher and private tutor with over 12 years experience.
We are a long established tuition centre in both Hadleigh and Benfleet. Previously Kumon we changed to First Class learning in 2013.
We teach from pre-school through to year 5 in maths and English and from year 6 through to year 11 in science.
We prepare students for the 11+ exams both CEM and CSSE and local school exams.
Students do work in class and also at home, which they return each week. Classes are kept small and so invariably we have waiting lists.
Our 11+ class starts from year 4 so as to give the students a good foundation rather than intensive tuition.
