Hello, thank you for taking a careful look at my experience. I've taught for many years, many subjects, and in many countries. I've specifically taught preparation courses for the ACT and SAT, the American university entrance exams. I've also taught Chinese students to prepare for their highly competitive mathematics competitions. I've designed special course work, techniques, IEPs, and materials to meet a student's particular and profound learning disability (his mother said that of all the teachers, I made the most progress). My first tutoree came to me with an "F" in university calculus and I got her up to a "B-". I've taught all English levels and mathematical talents to students from all over Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. I know how to ask questions to reveal misconceptions and how to find evidence of understanding. I understand maths anxiety, how teach the approach to a problem and not just how to get an answer. I've written songs to help students remember the quadratic formula and trigonometric functions of which students have testified that they sang in their head while taking the SAT. I've invented games to develop maths concepts that students couldn't stop playing. I've developed coursework on mathematical psychology and game theory as part of a holistic curriculum which fascinated students. I've had years and years of PDs (Professional Development) from many schools in many countries. I'm familiar with the variety pedagogical philosophies and have more specifically given presentations on Deep Learning, Brain Based Learning, and holistic curricula. I have briefly taught in a Montessori school and am familiar with some of those alternative approaches as well. As a mathematician I've independently contributed to many proofs, techniques, an discoveries relating to Pythagorean relationships, Phi, Pi definitions, the complex number plane, analytic geometry, trigonometric identities, and geometric construction, and others. I am currently familiarizing myself with Ofsted standards. Before I've been accountable to US Common Core Standards, and the AERO standards.

Hello! I am a Mechanical Engineer who achieved A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics. This means i understand the necessary tips and tricks to get those extra marks in exams. Spaced repetition, active recall, and tricks in recognising exam patterns are some of the skills that are proven to be effective.
I break down complex topics in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, into easy and understandable sub-topics.
Lessons can be a thorough run-down of all necessary work to achieve every single mark possible, and/or sharing advanced tips and tricks to tackle exams efficiently. We go through theory, try practice questions, and once the student is confident enough, move onto doing past paper exams. However, these lessons are flexible; teaching is mostly centred around the student's abilities, and at the pace they choose.

Hi!
My name is Asif K., and I currently hold a Bachelors in Chemistry with Chemical Engineering.
I went into the education sector and attained my PGCE and QTS through a SCITT program called GORSE SCITT. This is where I learnt the fundamentals of how to teach core subjects with efficiency and outstanding progress. I use a mix of videos and quick-fire questioning with examination prep to ensure the student can articulate their knowledge in the subject. I have experience teaching Chemistry, Physics and Biology to a GCSE level and Chemistry (A-level).
I have 3 years tutoring and teaching experience with a valid DBS check. Additionally, I can offer the first lesson free, this is to ensure we can devise a study plan which will maximise your true potential through a growth mindset.
I look forward to meeting you, feel free to message me!

Hello!
I am a Physics PhD, I studied at the University of Nottingham and finished 2018, with additional studying at Oxford University (St Catherines College). My research was in MRI Physics and focused on B0 fluctuations resulting from patient motion, and their impact on EPI imaging. During my research i also tutored first year Physics students in Programming (primarily MATLAB).
I have spent the last 5 years in Germany as part of the R&D team for Siemens Healthineers which develop world leading MRI scanners.
I am now looking to help young people with their own education. My tutoring method is generally to build and develop from fundementals rather than fact memorisation.
I can also offer help with University applications, as i worked as a student ambassador for the university as a student.
If you have any specific requests please let me know and i will see what i can do!
Added information:
PhD Physics, University of Nottingham, Thesis: Motion Correction for MRI Using External Tracking Devices
1st Class Masters degree, University of Nottingham, Physics with Medical Physics
A Levels: Maths, Physics, Chemistry

As a dedicated educator and a proud mother, my teaching approach is a harmonious blend of precision and empathy, inspired by both professional expertise and maternal understanding. With a keen awareness of individual learning styles, I tailor lessons to resonate with each student's unique strengths, fostering a deep and lasting comprehension of subjects.
Encouraging a spirit of curiosity and inquiry, I create a supportive learning environment where questions are embraced. Drawing from real-world applications, I bridge theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, making the subjects not just academically enriching but also personally relevant.
In addition to imparting knowledge, I prioritize building confidence in my students, recognizing the importance of nurturing critical thinking skills. Join me in this collaborative educational journey, where the transformative power of learning is customized to each student's potential and growth, guided by the dual roles of educator and mother.

Can tutor in most subjects. I'm a friendly tutor and love working with children. All children learn in different ways with different methods and i adapt my tutoring for each child to make them enjoy the classes and get the most out of the 60 minutes. I've taught ages from 4 all the way up to 24. I graduated from University of Leeds in May 2022, getting a 2:1 in Biology, and have worked as a supply teacher in schools all around Leeds since Janurary. I start my teacher training in september and have worked as supply to gain extra experience. I'm very understanding of different situations and backgrounds children can come from, and adjust teaching materials to fit each individual. I can help with homework and if they need extra help with worksheets i can find some for the right module and topic. I know 4 languages and play loads of sports. I've lived abroad my whole life, so i have an open mind and i'm great at adaptating to new situations. Can find my email under the education section on the right hand side, as it is my work email.

My name is Theo, I am a first year medical school student, studying at Bristol university. As well as enjoying my studies I am a keen footballer, skier, snowboarder and runner. As a young tutor, with wide ranging interests, I am extremely approachable and able to relate to the students easily. Being able to connect to students encourages learning and improves understanding and through this it makes it much easier for the student. I have previous experience teaching classes of 30 science students as well as over 100 hours of 1-1 tutoring across the sciences and maths. I have achieved 3A* (maths biology physics) A (chemistry) at A-level. I also have 12 GCSE’s 9xA* 2xA C(French) I originally started tutoring alongside my A-levels through a young carers volunteering program. As part of this programme I taught primary school children who care for their parents. This was extremely rewarding in that I was able to give back to the community. The next natural step was to start payed tutoring. I have tutored 4 students to develop better knowledge and understanding of GCSE and A level with science and maths help. My style is different with each student, as it should be. Not only teaching them the subject content and how to apply to different questions but teaching them how to learn in an efficient and easy manor. This combination means that they are ready for anything that the exam board or school may throw at them.

Originally in Mirfield, the K. Centre opened in December 2002. We quickly established an enviable reputation locally as a centre of excellence, not only for helping children who are struggling at school but also for those who are not being challenged and for those preparing for SAT's, GCSE and Grammar School entrance exams (particularly for Heckmondwike and Halifax Grammar Schools). We are conveniently located in Beehive Business Park, just outside the town centre, and have ample free parking available. Judith Shaw is a fully qualified teacher with a passion for helping children of all ages and abilities to achieve their full potential.
