Prior to teaching I have worked in life science Reasearch and Development and in Biopharamceutical research, sales and marketing. I also worked a part-time voluntary teaching assistant in primary and seconday schools for 2 years. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.

I am an award-winning and highly experienced "super" tutor and academic coach with over 15 years of tutoring, teaching and coaching experience, during which period I have made multiple students become university toppers and world prize winners. Past paper practice is essential but not sufficient to succeed.
My tutoring is questioning, methodical and supportive so that the student can achieve their true potential. It is based on more than 10 years of classroom practice in both the state and private sectors and fifteen years of one-to-one science tutoring at GCSE and A-level (all sciences at GCSE and Biology at A-level...all exam boards).
I prefer to tutor at students' homes, but can teach at my home in Kingston upon Thames, SW London, by special arrangement. I prefer to travel by public transport up to 30 minutes maximum, but will drive if necessary up to 5 miles. And, of course, I also tutor online.

I am an A-level student studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and EPQ, (predicted A*A*A*A), previously studying Biology, with a passion for teaching and a goal of becoming a Physics professor. Having achieved top grades of 8s and 9s in my Maths, English, and Science GCSEs, going on to finish courses with Cambridge, QMUL and Imperial, and winning a scholarship to study at Northeastern University, I bring a strong academic foundation and a dedication to helping students aged 4-16 succeed in their studies. I have been teaching Science in the UK for the last 26 years and have tutored as well for the three years. I have been an examiner for Edexcel for the last 6 years. I have been a Head of Science. I am UK trained and qualified and have been DBS checked. I have a lot experience working with SEND students and always look to support young people to do their best.
