Online Opera Singing Lessons
CAROLINE LENTON-WARD studied at the Royal Academy of Music where she was awarded the Charles Norman Prize. On leaving the RAM, she was granted awards from the Countess of Munster Musical Trust for further studies.
Caroline has appeared with the Royal Opera, Opera North, Kent Opera and the D'Oyly Carte, and performs regularly with BBC Singers, Sinfonietta Voices and London Voices. Solo appearances have included performances at the Royal Festival Hall, Bridgewater Hall and Philharmonic Hall with the RLPO, Mozart's C Minor Mass at the Barbican, Messiah with Sir David Willcocks, the role of the Virgin in Honegger's opera Joan of Arc with the RLPO, conducted by Libor Pesek, Verdi’s Requiem in Ely Cathedral, Vaughan Williams A Sea Symphony, Rossini's Petite Messe Solenelle for the BBC, and Britten’s War Requiem. Caroline was a soloist in James McMillan’s Busqueda for the 10th Anniversary concert of Music for Today series with the Philharmonia at the Royal Festival Hall, and has been a soloist in TV Times Christmas with the Stars at the Royal Albert Hall.
Caroline was a vocal tutor at Goldsmiths, University of London; and was Choral Director and Singing Teacher at Sydenham High School and Grey Coat Hospital School; she set up and ran the Westminster Choral Project and was the founder Musical Director of the Westminster Junior Singers and Youth Choir; she was on the advisory panel for Go Sing singing in schools project. In addition, she has been a member of the BBC Singers outreach team and works as a consultant in Choral Education. She trains the choristers at St Stephens Church Dulwich.
Hi I’m Holly, I have grown up performing all over the world including, Paris, London, brighton. I have been singing opera since the age of 9 and recently graduated from a 3 year degree in musical theatre in Guildford.

I studied classical vocal technique for 15 years with Howard Milner, and supplemented this with private language training (French and Russian), repertoire coaching with Floral Opera, Summer International Summer Music school (four years) and further training with Jeffrey Talbot and Neil Howlett. I worked as Area Leader for Sing Up in Lincolnshire and am currently the visiting singing teacher for a large secondary academy in Nottingham as well as being a vocal tutor at University of Lincoln. I have performed in professional opera companies in the UK, and performed recitals and gala concerts throughout the UK and in Northern Italy. I teach classical styles, as well as music theatre, jazz, folk, pop/rock.
I graduated a with a PhD in physical chemistry from the University of Birmingham, and can tutor chemistry, physics and mathematics in addition to music.

I trained myself at the University and Conservatoire of Santiago de Chile in Vocal and Operatic Studies, achieving a Bachelor's & Master of Music Performance with an Honours Degree. Later on, I trained with some of the leading teachers, singers, and repetiteurs in Argentina, Spain, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, and the UK. As an International Opera Singer I have gained wide experience performing in several theatres and opera houses around the world, including Leeds (United Kingdom), Dubai, Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), Bilbao, Cantabria, Seville, Granada, Málaga, Ceuta (Spain), Mendoza (Argentina) and Santiago (Chile). I have been teaching singing privately to students of all ages and levels for over 10 years, in addition to having an active singing career, which is very important when teaching, since I can provide my students with extensive artistic knowledge that is acquired on stage only. I like to give my students the tools to sing with confidence, getting the best of themselves and finding in them their stamp and authenticity with a solid and healthy vocal technique. I have experience in both teaching and tutoring, in practical subjects and academic studies. Having recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a First Class Honours degree in Vocal studies, I can speak and teach German to beginner and intermediate levels. I can also play Violin to a professional standard and Piano. With extensive stage experience and a positive attitude, I can also assist in any performances aspects, whether that be dealing with nerves, or helping with script learning.

Musica Nova, the International Academy of Music, is a unique bilingual establishment in the UK that combines the best of British and Russian principles of teaching and offers music lessons and complex Certificate programmes for children (starting as early as 3. 5 years old) and adults (up to advanced professional level).
It has six categories of classes geared to maximise the potential of the student in musical styles and genres as diverse as classics, jazz, pop, dance, and drama. It was founded in 2001 and is based in the London Borough of Camden, within walking distance of King’s Cross St. Pancras tube station (zone 1). Thanks to the Academy, children, teenagers and adults from all ethnic backgrounds, including the Russian-speaking community in London, are being introduced to a beautiful world of music, enabling them to develop and improve their talent and to embark on professional music activity.
Musica Nova has established partnership links with artistic management agencies, record companies and cultural institutions. Since March 2011 the Musica Nova has held membership of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM) one of the major umbrella organisations in the UK joining professional teachers and musicians. In 2012 the Musica Nova took part in the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Music Education held at the Palace of Westminster. Recent documentaries about the Academy have been broadcast by the BBC, major national and international Russian TV channels and the Russian Hour programme on the Digital Sky TV channel.
Teachers
All teachers are highly qualified professional musicians with a Conservatoire education, and with vast teaching experience with legal working status in the UK. All new teachers are carefully assessed and vetted in accordance with DFES regulations and employment legislation and with the Musica Nova’s own quality control procedures.
Lessons and Curriculum
Lessons take place in soundproof studios, equipped with pianos and elegantly designed to bring a sense of intimacy and discipline to the teaching. Both one-to-one and group sessions of up to eight students, are run at the Academy to fit in with students and parent’s busy lifestyles. If requested, lessons can also take place at client’s home (within the London area) and online.
The programmes are specially designed to lead and direct students from very first steps in music to Certificate (Grades 1 – 8) and Degree programmes (Performing and Teaching Diplomas) with participation in concerts, recording projects, performances at the international festivals and competitions. The ‘Music Wonderland’ is an innovative authoring programme offered to younger students. In close collaboration with child psychologists it assists in teaching music to children with dyslexia, speech and concentration problems.
In 2014 the Musica Nova introduced new educational programmes. Free concert events and workshops popularising good quality classical and contemporary music are open for children and adults in the Camden Russian communities in London.
Exams
Every year over 200 students are successfully assessed and receive Diplomas from major national examination boards. Students continue further music education in colleges and conservatoires in the UK (Royal Academy of Music, Royal Music College, Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, Cambridge and Oxford Universities) and Russia (State Conservatoire in Saint Petersburg, Gnessin Institution in Moscow).
Performances and Competitions
Students and teachers of the "Musica Nova" Academy have successfully performed in front of the members of the Royal Family, members of Parliament, politicians and celebrities.
