I am an experienced Finance Director and Chartered Certified Accountant with an MBA from Durham University. Durham being ranked 3rd in the UK, 5th in Europe and 10th globally.
My strengths in addition to my extensive career experience and academic accreditations, is that I am skilled at explaining complex accounting, finance and economic concepts in an easy to understand, practical way to finance and non-finance people alike.
The first 1-hour session is free. We would use this session to get to know each other (both you and/or your child) and to understand specific areas where support is needed. I will draw up a study plan to lead up to revision, mocks and final exams, as required, to be shared and agreed with you before we start the fee-paying session. This will ensure maximum benefit from the lessons.
Additional one-off lessons are available on request, as are bespoke laminated memory flash cards and mind maps for that last minute or on the go revision refresher. Additional lessons may for example include revision support or elements of a subject that "you just can’t get". For an additional fee, I also offer an out of hours telephone support service, for the early morning, late night revision when you just need to pick up the phone and ask a question.
With my extensive practical experience in the field of accounting, finance and economics, I will get you or your child over the mental blockers and inspire confidence in exam success with the application real life examples to theory. My teaching technique will embed subject elements into memory for recollection in an exam setting and beyond. I have some excellent revision techniques, invaluable for the run up to the exams I would be delighted to share.
To me, every pupil is individual, and my approach is to take a bespoke approach to those individual needs.

I'd like to share a brief biography of my career in the U.K. In 2002, at 19, I realized my love for music and moved to Bristol, U.K., where I lived for four years. Bristol exposed me to all sorts of music, including rock, jazz, world music, and more. I played my first shows and worked with over five different local bands, gaining valuable experience. In 2006, I moved to London to study at Tech Music Schools, known as "Drum Tech," where I completed my higher education and earned a BMUS in Popular Music Performance (Hons), licensed by West London University. After completing my degree in 2011, I worked exclusively as a performing drummer and drum teacher, giving private lessons in my own studio, Oktopus Music Services, in North West London. In the past nine years, I've had the privilege of performing, recording, and writing with some of the best musicians in the London and U.K. scene, such as Kevin Glasgow (one of Europe's best bassists), Robin Banerjee (Amy Winehouse's guitarist), Roberto Manzin (Zucchero), Felipe Martíns (Emeterians), Juan Whist (The Voice National Spanish TV), and many others. I've showcased in most of London's live music venues and with the best U.K. and European entertainment agencies, such as Scarlett Entertainment, Full Stop Entertainment, and more. After 20 years of professional experience, I've decided to focus fully on teaching drums and performing. (i) For School UNI students I have a deep understanding of the National Curricula from the different Boards, Aqua, Edexcel, Cambridge, and preparing students for University examinations, including UCL or Oxbridge. My experience gave me the ability to quickly spot the student's strengths and weaknesses. The result is that my students have all gained between B and A or A* or 9, at their A-level or GCSE exams, (I had just one student who was given a B, the others all gain A or A* or 9). However as importantly they are able to enjoy fluent speaking and a full understanding of the Italian Language.
(ii) For Adults and Professional students In tutoring adult and professional students I have developed a method which using authentic teaching material, such as New reading, or listening, songs or moves listening. This has allowed all of them to deal in Italian, to a mother tongue level, such as job interviews or giving presentation, or simply talking with Italians once in Italy

I also spent a lot of time teaching maths and English to students in school and later to adult students online. Maths is a subject that a lot of people struggle with, but tutoring can make a big difference to your understanding and confidence. I can teach up to GCSE level.
For any adult learners, I taught maths and English Functional Skills with a high pass rate. Don't worry if you haven't done maths for years - we will tailor the lessons around this.
History.
I am qualified up to master's degree level and have taught the subject up to GCSE. We can focus on historical knowledge, historical context, sources or essay writing. English is a big part of essay writing for GCSE so we can also focus on that of required.
My main teaching method used is the '"I do, we do, you do". I have a wealth of on-screen resources so there's plenty of opportunities to practice. We don't move on until you understand the topic in question. There are no silly questions - be brave and ask! There's so many benefits to having individual tutoring and you will find that your understanding improves.
