I grew up in Spain. When I was 16 years old I started private tutoring to children. Then I moved to a school language academy as an English teacher in Spain.
I taught some Spanish online to British people, now I moved to London 2 months ago and I would love to do continue teaching Spanish.
I am very passionate about my language and specially teaching it to people. I also love to deep into Spanish culture in my lessons and teaching some secrets from this beautiful culture.

Hi everyone, my name is Ta’Liyah and I'm a passionate person with a strong background in GCSE and A-Level English literature, GCSE and A-Level Psychology, GCSE Spanish and quite good in English language GCSE. I love helping students grasp challenging concepts and watching them succeed. With my patient and supportive approach, I tailor my tutoring to fit each student's learning/revision style. While I haven’t tutored with a professional agency, I have tutored/ helped peers, friends, etc since primary school and in addition to that I do have experience working with kids as I was former Head Girl in secondary school so I’m great with teamwork and 1-1 sessions.

I derive great enjoyment from learning and teaching languages, immersing myself into a language, and understanding the culture and traditions associated with the language. I am part of a trilingual family and I strongly believe that languages create flexibility in our thinking, allow us to identify that the word exists between the real-word object and the abstract concept in our minds, that different languages allow us flexibility in manipulating the abstract concepts in our mind, and that languages open up new worlds that the curious mind may follow. I love commuting between languages just like I love commuting between cultures and cities. As a tutor I am:
Reviewing classroom or curriculum topics and assignments.
Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research and other academic tasks.
Working with students to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom.
Assessing a student’s level of progress within a subject and identifying areas for improvement, as well as providing mock examinations or tests to prepare students for real exams.
Reviewing student’s homework assignments and test scores and working through problem questions that the student did not answer correctly.
Providing tailored lessons adapted to your learning style, whatever that may look like, leading to further enjoyment. Adaptable and flexible in my teaching styles to ensure that you get the most of every lesson.
My teaching method is very patient, lively and indulgent and I would love to be part of your learning journey!

I became interested in teaching through working as an English teacher and homework advice with kids in Bogotá-Colombia (where I come from) something I have done since I was 21, training to become a leader in the process. This made me realise I enjoyed working with kids and young adults with different school experience confirmed teaching as a career choice. My subsequent four-year BA English and Bilingualism education course at Unipanamericana University has served further to fire my enthusiasm and prepared me effectively to take responsibility for my own class.
During my degree I have undertaken four practices: in 6°,7°,8° grade (12 to 15 years) in Gimnacio Ingles Campestre (Bogota-Colombia), Main teacher at Univerty Unipanamerica (Bogotá - Colombia) with young adults teaching English and teaching Spanish in Milton Keynes for adults. These practices have given me a good understanding of different curriculum and of what makes effective teaching in various ages.
My time in each context has developed my philosophy of valuing each student as an individual, as well as part of a community. I aim to give the students as many learning opportunities and experiences as possible in order to engage, motivate and prepare them for future life. An appropriate, balanced, challenging and creative curriculum is essential in developing students’s skills, knowledge and understanding. These all underpin personalised learning.

I would very much like to become a tutor (remotely will be great and also face to face in a public place)
Though I do not have a certification in translatin I am good at it. I have had a lot of practice: face to face, on the phone, writing, etc.

We provide French tuition and Spanish tuition for private or group lessons, either at your home, your place of work or a tutor’s home within Enfiel, North London and surrounding areas. We cater for children with our popular language clubs, for teenagers with, excellent grades at GCSE/A-level French and Spanish and for adults who are looking for that “va va voom”.
When contacting E., you will always speak with Deborah Cheney who will assess your requirements by asking details about the level of French/Spanish of the learner, the reasons for tuition www.*** the exam board for French GCSE/A-level and Spanish GCSE/A-level, predicted grade and school. After this conversation, Deborah will firstly allocate the best French tutor or Spanish tutor for your needs and will then monitor how the lessons are going through regular contact with you.
