My teacher training has equipped me with dynamic and flexible approaches which are holistically developed to meet the needs, interests and preferences of the learner. Wherever possible, I like to keep learning active and creative - I particularly like to use a cross curricular approach such as using art as a tool to develop descriptive and creative writing skills. I believe that at the root of any good learning, is a positive relationship between the learner and teacher therefore I am passionate and skilled in creating rapport with my learners to help them feel supported and comfortable throughout lessons. When this positive relationship is established, my experience has shown that children are more motivated and enthusiastic to engage in the learning as well as being more confident to communicate any challenges or difficulties they may be experiencing. Within my approach, I believe it is important to adopt and instil a growth mindset to challenges wherein I am passionate about building learners' resilience, independence and self-efficacy when it comes to their learning whether that be in their academic work or everyday lives.
