Stafford Music School School, Learning Centre

In 2008, Stafford Music School opened its doors to the first keyboard students learning on Yamaha Courses. The positive response from students, parents and schools in the local area enabled the number of students to increase to over 90 in the first four months. Since then, adding the Yamaha Guitar Encounters course, individual tuition on keyboard and piano and vocal tuition has seen the school continue to grow with over 230 students now taking lessons with us each week.
Our studios are fully equipped with the state of the art Yamaha instruments and our teachers have extensive teaching experience and training, to enable our students to progress and have fun whilst learning.
Each year, there are opportunities for students to take exams with Rock School and Trinity College and we provide regular performance opportunities including our annual 'live band' concert at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre in March.
We offer a free trial lesson on our Keyboard, Piano & Guitar Courses and further information on our courses and fees can be found on our website at www.*** ;

We guarantee small classes – no bigger than 16 children in the main school and nine per class in Reception. We believe that this is integral to children establishing strong relationships with their teacher, getting the support they need, developing a strong work ethic and both maximising and achieving their potential.
Classes are made up of children from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities, but the one thing they have in common is motivation. We do not compare children with one another; we challenge them against their own goals and next steps. This allows children to feel safe, be creative and be curious instead of managing anxiety about ‘not keeping up’. Happy, confident students are available to learn – they develop a rich and positive sense of who they are and can be.
Each class has a name:
Sprites (Reception) Pegasus (Year 1) Dragons (Year 2) Unicorns (Year 3) Griffins (Year 4) Minotaurs (Year 5) Centaurs (Year 6) Chalkers (Years 7-9)
