I prefer to build strong, personal relationships with students, because I believe personal relationship is foundation to student success. The more associated the student feels, the more teacher earns respect and consideration, the key ingredients for students to learn well. I teach to the student's strength that helps me to minimize the student weaknesses. I always listen and communicate early and often with parents, that helps me to map a better plan for success. I always believe that, the better lesson planning by tutor leads to student success. I always plan my every session keeping these 6 points in my mind. 1. Outline learning objectives 2. Develop the introduction 3. Plan the specific learning activities (the main body of the lesson) 4. Plan to check for understanding 5. Develop a conclusion 6. Create a practical timeline I have got Engineering degree qualification, which makes me the most appropriate tutor for mathematics subject. I have studied as well trained the simplest mathematics as well as complex one. So, I know the subject's concepts, ideas and problems inside out. I can discuss and introduce the rigor of real-life applications. I can make learning relevant to students' interests, thus create more students who actually care about what they are learning. I am very much aware of National Curriculum of UK and know about the key stages and the assessments, the student would go through after completing each key stage. I always prefer to discuss child's progress with his/her parents by the end of each assessment. That would assist me to meet the expectations of parents.
Subjects include English, Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics for primary and secondary, GCSE and A-levels students, and engineering-related courses in addition to the previously listed subjects for undergraduates. I have had experience as a one-to-one and group tutor with science and engineering students studying for a School, GCSE, A-levels and undergraduate degrees and preparing them for their tests and final exams.
My experience as a tutor has helped me realize how important it is to make learning both interesting and relevant to the pupil. With previous tutees, I have used traditional and e-learning methods of learning together with games, projects, research, craft, investigative work and quizzes in order to make learning more enjoyable. I also have access to past examination papers and questions which are ideal in preparing pupils for the end of key stage tests.

Throughout my forty-five-year teaching career in Maths beginning from the school I have gained extensive skills in training and management, alongside working directly with children in all ages. Through these roles I have seen the impact that my experience within teaching has had on my ability to assess and report on a range of issues. I have also undertaken regular academic study and professional training to ensure that I can offer feedback, allowing me to provide successful mentoring as well as assessment. My first experience of teaching mathematics for children started in 1972, when I was in A Levels at Ananda College, Colombo, Sri Lanka, needed to cover the GCE O Level Math Teacher. Later, as a student tutor I work with small group of children, helping with numeracy and English reading and writing. In 1974 when I was in the Technical College, Sri Lanka, I went on Student Tutoring Scheme where I gained experience in teaching arithmetic and literacy, and achieved experience gave me the basic understanding of a working classroom, and the knowledge that working with and educating children would be something that I would like to continue in my future life. My undergraduate studies in Belarus have covered a wide range of the content involved in teaching further mathematics at A Levels, and my postgraduate studies broadened my knowledge in higher university mathematics. I have demonstrated my communication skills through giving presentations and lecturing, both individually and in groups. Furthermore, I followed a Diploma course" Teaching Russian as Foreign a Language", which gave me further insight into teaching. Through my postgraduate degree I also gained time management, organization skills and analysing and interpretation of evidence and the consistent recording of relevant findings. While I was working in the Construction Industry in Sri Lanka, to be keep in touch in teaching I have worked as a visiting lecturer for Universities and Colleges. As a NCTEM PD LEAD and a Tutor/teacher in mathematics for the UK schools and individuals, I have planned detailed secessions/ lessons with basic to develop teaching methods and qualities using accurate mathematical vocabulary and writing logical answers to questions by informing and influencing participants, and improved understanding, awareness, and ability to use functional mathematics skills. I have adhered to consistent high standards of professional conduct. Having worked with all the ages in education in the UK, Belarus and Sri Lanka, I have shown an ability to adapt swiftly and effectively in international contexts, ensuring I provide the same high standards in each.
