With a vast amount of experience working in a variety of schools and education settings, I have over 14 years of experience, with 10 of those working as a teacher and tutor. Specialising in Primary Maths, I work with small groups of children to increase their confidence and skill level through exam preparation and strategy led learning.
Fully qualified Teacher of Mathematics with a BA in Natural Sciences and MSc in Psychology of Education.
I have been teaching for 10 years in Harrogate. My passion lies in the fun, play based learning, which engages children and accelerates learning. Our learning will take place outside as much as possible. Before sessions commence, I will have a detailed discussion with the child's parents, to gather as much information as possible, and so that I can tailor our learning to a theme which suits a child's interest.

With previous experience in tutoring and teaching, each lesson will be different tailored to the needs and focuses of the individual. They will include a range of learning techniques, activities and questions. From personal experience I know no two people learn in the same way therefore I am very adaptable to teaching in several different ways to ensure success for each pupil.
Each lesson can consist of 1 hour or 2 hours. Before each lesson, I will prepare materials based on focuses discussed. During the lesson, we will start with a quiz to obtain the current level of understanding and knowledge, moving onto some teaching of concepts and theory. Then we will focus on some understanding and practice questions. Ending with another quiz and discussions of next lesson's focus as well as feedback to pupil and parents if desired.
I have previously done 11+ tutoring, volunteering to help children's reading skills, babysitting and working in a nursery. All those experiences have helped me obtain some valuable skills of understanding the process of learning and different learning techniques as well as the approach to teaching children. Organisation is also a key skill I have which will definitely be helpful in the role as a tutor. I have a genuine passion for helping children learn and be successful as I personally understand no two children learn the same and there need to be more varied approaches in teaching.

I began my career as a Maths teacher in Amana International school and with the demands for Highly paid Maths teaching positions I switched my work place to Royal International school and finally to worked as the Mathematics HOD in Westgate College. I graduated myself in IIC University of Technology with www.*** Science (major Mathematics) and to be a qualified teacher, I graduated with Bachelor of Education from the City University of Malaysia.
To expose myself into the global, I joined Arab Unity School, following British curriculum in the United Arab Emirate (Dubai) for the last academic year (2022 to 2023). By understanding the great demand for Maths teachers and to uplift my professional profile, currently I study Masters of Education in the Teeside University.

I am a qualified teacher and have held various positions in schools for the past 19 years. As well as being a Teacher, I also teach online because students needed that extra support outside of the classroom and I have led a successful business for the past 5 years.

I hold a full DBS and am an Examiner for Edexcel. I am a qualified Maths teacher who has been DBS cheched. As a Maths specialist, I have 22 years classroom experience together with 42 years of tutoring. I prepare students for SATS in year 6 and GCSE in Year 11 . Moreover, I help pupils with entrance exams and adults with the teacher's numeracy tests .I operate in Alwoodley, North Leeds. I have built up a colossal amount of resources so that I can tailor my teaching to the ability of the pupils I do not travel so my fee will be competitive. My pass rate of GCSE [ i. e. old C grade and above ] over the last 20 years is 96%. A free assessment lesson is offered to anybody who is genuinely interested.
