I am a qualified Maths Teacher and an online Tutor. I use a variety of techniques and resources in order to teach and inspire minds. I am fully DBS cleared and have taught through the changes in education over the years and am fully knowledgeable in the current 9-1 GCSE specification. I am comfortable teaching all walks of learners and try my 100% best to make sure that learning is relevant, engaging and fun.
I have a plethora of resources so that students hit their target grade or beyond. In my experience, students tend look at questions as a big problem rather than thinking that questions are made up of smaller steps within a problem. Each student will receive an individual plan at the start of lesson one.
I am also a GCSE Expert Examiner for Edexcel, marking both Foundation and Higher Maths. I also teach at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 2.
I am able to teach online and comfortably at your home, however, due to the current situation with COVID, I prefer to teach online. I use a Huoin pen and tablet with an onscreen whiteboard. I will provide full resources; questions, answers, solutions and exam papers relevant to your exam specification. I teach all topics in Maths and keep up to date with any new developments with exam boards.
I have been a Middle Leader, a Lead Practitioner, a Director of Learning, and have led successful STEM classes and am passionate about the subjects surrounding Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. I also run a debate team at my current school; have been a finalist at The University of Leeds three consecutive years with “Solutions for the Planet” programme and have taken students as finalists at The Houses of Parliament with a solution on sustainability.
I have been teaching for 14 years. My experience has been across primary aged children but mainly in Reception, year 1 and year 2. I have a 6-year-old boy of my own and we never stop learning together through play and more recently through formal learning! My experience allows me to adjust my teaching style to suit all types of learners. I LOVE what I do and as a learner myself I am always striving for the best, evaluating the way that I work and developing my practice. I love meeting new people and watching children grow and learn. My home is suitable and inviting for anyone and I offer a wide range of activities that support learning about a range of concepts in all subjects. This includes foundation subjects as well as core subjects. I would be very excited to have the opportunity to teach you.

Hello! I am a Mechanical Engineer who achieved A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics. This means i understand the necessary tips and tricks to get those extra marks in www.*** ; Spaced repetition, active recall, and tricks in recognising exam patterns are some of the skills that are proven to be effective.
I break down complex topics in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, into easy and understandable sub-topics.
Lessons can be a thorough run-down of all necessary work to achieve every single mark possible, and/or sharing advanced tips and tricks to tackle exams efficiently. We go through theory, try practice questions, and once the student is confident enough, move onto doing past paper exams. However, these lessons are flexible; teaching is mostly centred around the student's abilities, and at the pace they choose.
I am an international student currently undergoing a Beng, Meng in Mechanical Engineering. I have experience in maths and engineering as I have completed a preparatory class in France focused on those two particular subjects.
I am looking to help students learn and like those two subjects as they can be daunting and hard to grasp, but are fun to study and work in. My goal is to make people interested in those subjects and show them that solving puzzles can be fun if taught right.
I do not have much experience as a tutor per se, only helping my siblings and friends when they do not grasp certain notions but I easily adapt to the needs and requirements of those I am teaching and am able to see problems from different angles as to get to the root of the problem and find the explanation that better suits the student.
I can teach both online or in person as I am fully vaccinated, but I will keep a mask on as we never are too safe.

I have graduated with a first-class masters in Physics from the University of Sheffield. I love working with people, especially when it means I can help pupils understand fundamental physics and maths concepts. I remember struggling with GCSE physics so can empathise with the kind of problems year 10 and 11 pupils can run into. I subsequently took IB physics and maths, so am able to tutor pupils taking A level and equivalent qualifications (including further maths).
I am also happy to help pupils prepare for University level physics www.*** ;
I am a freelance journalist interested in health and www.*** ;I have recently moved to Leeds and live in the Headingley area. A keen musician, I'm looking forward to what Leeds' live music scene has to offer. I love the outdoors and regularly go wild www.*** ;

An experienced math tutor. I would focus on help the students understand the concept clearly since I think the students can know what they are doing is the most important to help them. It can increase their problem solving ability, and also make them easier to remember the methods and skills. In my past experience, my students are always know what they are doing and therefore they would enjoy the study process. Besides, doing exercise is another important way to help student to remember. Therefore I would also provide massive of exercise to the students.

Every one of our tutors is a trained professional with a deep passion for education. Our tutors are all qualified, holding qualifications that vary from at least a degree in their teaching subject, to Qualified Teacher Status. They are all DBS checked and have passed our in-house Tutor Training Program to make sure they are meeting the Smart Kids standard of service. In addition to this, thorough management routinely examines the consistent quality of the tutor’s performance through a range of assessments. These check the tutor’s contents and quality of delivering the curriculum, ambitions for student achievements, quality of lesson planning, report cards and certificates; as well as their ability to provide leadership, vision and direction for their students. I have been teaching for 10 years in Harrogate. My passion lies in the fun, play based learning, which engages children and accelerates learning. Our learning will take place outside as much as possible. Before sessions commence, I will have a detailed discussion with the child's parents, to gather as much information as possible, and so that I can tailor our learning to a theme which suits a child's interest.
Fully qualified Teacher of Mathematics with a BA in Natural Sciences and MSc in Psychology of Education.
We are an independent tutoring company, who offer high quality tuition to students either on line, or at our modern centre.
I’ve have worked in a High school Maths department for the past 5 years. Teaching and supporting students in KS3 and KS4.
We offer a free assessment. An assessment in English and maths takes around one and a half hours to complete. At the end of that time we’ll be in a position to tell you where your son’s / daughter’s strengths and weaknesses lie.
If you decide to enrol, we tutor in 80 minute blocks, during that time students will complete about 6 – 8 activities, some on the computer and some using the written curriculum resources we have.
We design an individual program for each of our students and aim it at their level of understanding to improve them as quickly as they can manage.
We tutor in small groups with a maximum of five in a group. However, we don’t teach them as a group, as each child has different needs and will be at a different stage, so they are all taught one to one and the tutor gives individual support and feedback on their work throughout the session. This promotes independent learning and gives the children time to think through what they are currently working on.
All our sessions are delivered in our dedicated centre, which provides a safe environment without the distractions that can be a drawback to delivering tuition at home.
Because we are Ofsted registered we can accept childcare vouchers, or Working Tax Credits can be used against the fees.
We run sessions on Monday to Thursday at 4:00pm, 5:30pm and 7:00pm and on Saturdays at 9:00am, 10:30am and 12 noon.
We would be very pleased to hear from you should you wish to book a free assessment.
