Kumon is an individualised learning method that allows each student to study at the 'just-right' level, regardless of age or school grade. This gives all children the possibility to benefit from Kumon, whether they need to build on more basic concepts, be challenged by more complex work or somewhere in between. Through continued study at the 'just-right' level, students progress at their own pace, going on to study work beyond their school grade level.
Instructors determine what level students should be studying at based on ability and fluency. Students start at a comfortable level, allowing them to build confidence, concentration and pace before progressing on to higher level work. Completing work at the 'just-right' level enables students to become enthusiastic learners, believing in their own capability and developing a positive attitude to study.
Kumon Addlestone is registered with Ofsted and we are able to accept Childcare Vouchers towards payment.

The Kumon Caterham Study Centre opened in 2013 and caters for all age groups, with students at the centre currently aged from pre-school through to high school. Our aim is to start our students on the path to success, whether they require further support to succeed academically or are seeking an additional challenge so they can fulfil their potential.
Our students can arrive at a convenient time between the centre’s opening times, whilst each child spends an average of 30 - 50 minutes in the centre, once a week, depending on if they are studying one or both subjects.
Kumon should not be considered a traditional tuition provider as, rather than ‘teaching’ students, we help them develop the skills to work independently and foster in them a 'can-do' attitude when faced with new and unfamiliar work. With the help of the Instructor and her assistants, our students develop in knowledge and concentration, and grow in confidence.
On the programme, your child will begin at a comfortable starting point based on their current ability, and will gradually move through the levels as they master each concept. We motivate our students by giving them lots of support and encouragement.
I have a PhD degree in material science and engineering with great experience in private tuition. I enjoy teaching and helping students to attack problems in Maths/Science. I am teaching with pride and caring for students. After all I ensure every student will reach their full potential and enjoy learning more.
