I have been a primary school teacher for 20 years and in that time have successfully led English and Mathematics in schools. I am currently a deputy headteacher, but also have an NPQH (headteacher qualification). I have previous successful experience of tutoring primary age students in English and Maths and am currently offering a limited number of sessions to help fund my son going to university!

I started working in a local secondary school 4 years ago initially as a TA helping children with autism and SEND. I then became a cover supervisor for a short period of time and am now a Teacher of Maths, which I have been doing for 2 years. In my first year of teaching my Year 11 class had a positive P8, which mean that all children achieved their target grade if not higher. Last year my whole department was rated best in the school with the best exam result.
I am an experienced fully qualified primary and secondary (grammar) school teacher specialising in the eleven plus (GL, CEM, independent schools) as well as the Kent and Medway tests, and science up to KS3. I work hard to get to know every child as an individual and to develop an understanding of what makes them feel happy and secure in their learning. I am a first year Physics student at the University of Kent. I have always enjoyed teaching and academia, so much so that my dream in life is to become a theoretical physicist after graduation. As a result, one of my biggest passions in life is to contribute to young mind’s understanding of the universe through science and mathematics. I have outstanding organisation skills, which allow me to be flexible in my schedule, and use my time as effectively as possible.
