I've been a teacher of maths for about three years now and with a degree in Sports and Exercise Sciences I am able to tutor student in PE if required.
I can tutor up to KS4 with plenty of resources that students can keep at home so that they are able to work with them between sessions. With this, I am also able to prepare students for SATs in KS2 and assist in literacy and numeracy at any age.
Happy do do online through Skype or in the comfort of your own home or in a public place, I'm usually available any time after 6pm.
Feel free to call for an enquiry, from 7 until 4 I'm working in school but I'll take any calls after that. If you leave a message I'll endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.

I have more than 30 years experience as a tutor, teacher and school leader working in the UK and abroad in Japan and, most recently, as an educational advisor in Rwanda.
I am committed to providing the best possible learning outcomes for all children and have particular strengths in teaching Early Years (3-5 years), children with SEND, children for whom English is an additional language and children who require motivation to fulfill thier potential. I have taught at class and small group level, and on a 1-1 basis, mostly on a face to face basis but am adapting to online methods. I also have experience of coaching and mentoring.
I have also designed a programme to support children's skills in learning, developing soft skills such as resilience and focus.

I am a tutor with over 25 years experience across all key stages and tutoring adults. I graduated from the University of Durham in 1992 with a BA Hons in Music before training as a primary school teacher. After 10 years I moved to secondary where I was Head of Music and taught Music, Mathematics, English and EPQ. I have extensive experience working with different learning needs and was responsible for introducing a phonics support programme at my own children's school when they were diagnosed with Dyslexia. I aim to make learners feel secure and confident by building a relationship with them and carefully matching lessons to their needs, abilities and interests. I am currently offering online tuition in Mathematics, English, Music and Science to GCSE and Music Theory at grades 1 to 8. Hourly rate: Individual tuition £35/ hr £20/ 30 mins I am also happy to teach small groups so if you feel that it would be beneficial for your child to be learning alongside their friends I can set up sessions where the cost can be shared between families. I am located in Cheltenham (GL52 3HF) and would be happy to take on students who would like to transfer to face to face tuition once the current situation is over as well as students who wish to learn exclusively online.

I am a qualified primary school teacher. I am friendly, patient and approachable and enjoy helping children with their learning. I am able to provide help with KS1 and KS2 English/Literacy (reading, writing, spelling or a combination of these), and KS1 and KS2 maths. I particularly work with children who find the subject difficult and would like a little extra help and children who have specific special educational needs. My specialist subject is history and am happy to provide support for this subject at primary level also. I do not tutor for school entrance exams.
Teaching Experience:
I have worked in education since 2004, as a class teacher in Years 3 and 5, a museum teacher and most recently as a Year 5 and 6 teacher in a village school in the Forest of Dean. I have been providing private tuition since 2011. The children I have tutored have gained in confidence, improved their skills and moved up groups in school within months."We can't thank you enough for all the help and guidance you have given H during the time you have taught him." (Parent)"Thank you for helping me get better at maths and literacy. Since you have been helping me I have moved up a set to a better class. I am pleased about this, as now I feel more confident." (Year 5 pupil)"You are the best teacher ever!" (Year 2 pupil)"Wow, so happy! My daughters have just had their first session of the summer course and they were so enthused to continue with their activities after the session, it's just what every parent wants to see."
Tutoring Approach:
I believe learning should be fun, active and relevant to the child's interests and needs. I tailor lessons to the child's abilities, learning styles and interests, and include suitable levels of challenge to help them progress. I believe praise and encouragement is conducive to success and in raising a child's confidence if they are struggling. I am used to working with a wide range of children who have different abilities and interests, and can quickly assess the level they are working at and tailor their learning to suit their needs and interests.
