As a hardworking academic, I have begun to tutor students using a clear and optimal approach where I create an engaging and comfortable learning environment. My teaching style is mainly centred around application, as I strongly value discussing mark schemes and consistently testing students' knowledge for them to grow and learn. Outside of education, I am very passionate about sports, especially football, tennis and swimming. I also value hobbies such as playing the guitar and enjoy learning new languages. Currently in my gap year, I am hoping to study dentistry next year as I am motivated to become a great dentist in the future.

Maths.
I also spent a lot of time teaching maths and English to students in school and later to adult students online. Maths is a subject that a lot of people struggle with, but tutoring can make a big difference to your understanding and confidence. I can teach up to GCSE level.
For any adult learners, I taught maths and English Functional Skills with a high pass rate. Don't worry if you haven't done maths for years - we will tailor the lessons around this.
History.
I am qualified up to master's degree level and have taught the subject up to GCSE. We can focus on historical knowledge, historical context, sources or essay writing. English is a big part of essay writing for GCSE so we can also focus on that of required.
My main teaching method used is the '"I do, we do, you do". I have a wealth of on-screen resources so there's plenty of opportunities to practice. We don't move on until you understand the topic in question. There are no silly questions - be brave and ask! There's so many benefits to having individual tutoring and you will find that your understanding improves.

The way my lessons will be conducted will be mostly through revision and practise questions, where the student will provide a topic area, initially I will help re jog their memory of the topic they require help with, then help prepare them for the exam through past paper practise exam questions. By doing this it allows the student to be prepared for most different outcomes possible for their summer exams, thus acquiring them the best grade.
Both my previous two students were taught in person, and I was there to help them prepare for the exams by going through exam questions, allowing them to give it a go then whenever they got stuck, I was there to help them and show them where they went wrong. Where possible, after they had made a mistake or struggled on a question, I gave them a similar question for them to see where they went wrong and how to overcome it.
Achieved a 9 at GCSE level and an A* at A level in maths. Due to recent experience with public exams, I know the pressure students go under and the expectations they may have, my main job is to give them confidence to showcase their true ability that I hope to get the best possible grades, as can be seen by my previous two students.
GCSE level I took AQA and A level Edexcel, thus I am more experienced with those exam boards, however can offer support with most content as long as the syllabuses align with those I have taken. I have a high knowledge of GCSE curriculum for most exam boards, however for A level exam boards often differ more than GCSE, so if you do not take Edexcel at A level, I may have gaps in knowledge. My confident areas of A level maths are pure and mechanics, however I am also skilled with statistics.
I offer mainly online tutoring service, with the aim of interacting the tutee with practise questions and detailed explanation.
Tutoring sessions will often be in the evening on weekdays, however I am flexible to change the session from week to week in order to fit in a session.

I am a qualified teacher and have held various positions in schools for the past 19 years. As well as being a Teacher, I also teach online because students needed that extra support outside of the classroom and I have led a successful business for the past 5 years.
I have a plethora of resources: I never fall short on exam papers and predicted papers; interactive videos; every lesson is personailsed; and a track record that produces results every time. Hi, I am a third year medical student currently in my studies at university. I have years of experience as a tutor, since year 13, and believe I am well equipped to handle students up to their A Level exams.
After achieving QTS in 1999, I taught in several primary schools for five years, covering all ages (from Nursery to Year 6) and a wide range of abilities (from working towards level 1 up to level 6), in the full range of core and foundation subjects. However, having a predominantly financial/ numerical background, I decided to focus my teaching on mathematics and commenced teaching mathematics in secondary schools from September 2004, covering a wide range of abilities from below NC level 3 to GCSE Higher level.
From May 2007 to August 2019, I was employed by Kip McGrath (Keighley), tutoring students (during evenings and on Saturdays) in Maths (aged 6 to 18 years, at KS1 level up to GCSE Higher level), English (aged 6 to 11 years, at KS1 &2) and in verbal and non-verbal reasoning, in preparation for 11+ High School Entrance Exams. This involved supporting students in small groups working on individual, predominantly computer-based, learning programmes, to enable them to catch-up or improve their skills in specific areas, whilst working towards their personal targets/ goals, e.g. in KS2 SATs, 11+ Entrance Exams or GCSE exams. This experience inspired me to set up my own private tutoring business, which I have been running since April 2014, providing tuition to individual students in maths (aged 7 – 18+), English (ages 7-13), preparing students (aged 9/12) for local High School Entrance Exams and preparing adult learners for Functional Skills exams in both Literacy and Numeracy.
Having studied many courses covering a wide range of disabilities, including ASD, Dyslexia, ADHD and Sensory Processing Disorder, I believe I have a good understanding of, and empathy for, students with SEND and SEMH. To this end, I have taught many students with a range of learning difficulties/ barriers to learning and feel that I have made a considerable difference to each student’s enjoyment of mathematics and life-outcomes. I believe that my own enjoyment of learning enables me to encourage and motivate others to successfully engage in the learning process.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, I have delivered many lessons via Skype and Zoom and feel that I have become confident and competent in using these platforms for teaching students remotely and would be happy to continue to do so if required.

I am an international student currently undergoing a Beng, Meng in Mechanical Engineering. I have experience in maths and engineering as I have completed a preparatory class in France focused on those two particular subjects.
I am looking to help students learn and like those two subjects as they can be daunting and hard to grasp, but are fun to study and work in. My goal is to make people interested in those subjects and show them that solving puzzles can be fun if taught right.
I do not have much experience as a tutor per se, only helping my siblings and friends when they do not grasp certain notions but I easily adapt to the needs and requirements of those I am teaching and am able to see problems from different angles as to get to the root of the problem and find the explanation that better suits the student.

I have 11 years experience teaching high school mathematics up to GCSE from tel: *** . I have taught children of all abilities from 11 to 16, covering low ability through to grade 9 students. I have been trained to deliver mastery lessons using Shanghai methods, which put teaching for understanding at the forefront. I have written many teaching resources including curriculums, exam papers, revision guides, department lessons and retrieval starters. I have marked exam papers, delivered the whole syllabuses, tutored a form (for 11 years), organised school trips, run STEM clubs, attended parents evenings, run revision sessions every week and I was even in the school play!
I love teaching. I adore that lightbulb moment when someone just gets it and I know I've helped them achieve that. A lot of what I do is to create confidence and I have an excellent record of building relationships with young people and adults.
I teach for understanding. If a student understands why they are doing something, they are going to remember it. I use a variety of methods, including; modelling, bar modelling, pictures, white boards and activities. I have been known to have students measure the room or a tennis court to explain scale factors or create a mini Olympics to create data to analyse!
Before starting my teaching career I spent 8 years working as an Operational Researcher for the UK Department of Work and Pensions. I am the mother of four wonderful, interesting and slightly mad young people who is never happier than when I'm feeding family and friends with the cakes and puddings I've baked or the chutneys I've made. But I also love to curl up with a cup of coffee and a good book, and when the sun shines hike across the hills near my home.

I am a Physics PhD, I studied at the University of Nottingham and finished 2018, with additional studying at Oxford University (St Catherines College). My research was in MRI Physics and focused on B0 fluctuations resulting from patient motion, and their impact on EPI imaging. During my research i also tutored first year Physics students in Programming (primarily MATLAB).
I have spent the last 5 years in Germany as part of the R&D team for Siemens Healthineers which develop world leading MRI scanners.
I am now looking to help young people with their own education. My tutoring method is generally to build and develop from fundementals rather than fact memorisation.
I can also offer help with University applications, as i worked as a student ambassador for the university as a student.
