As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a specialization in Mathematics, I have been an integral part of the Maths Department in a Secondary school. Over the course of 15 years, I have successfully taught small groups of students, primarily focusing on GCSE level (Foundation) Mathematics. My expertise extends across all age groups, ranging from Year 7 to Year 11.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have also engaged in private tutoring for over 14 years, working closely with individual students. It brings me immense joy to witness my students achieve their academic goals under my guidance and support.

It is crucial to establish a solid foundation of understanding before advancing to more complex concepts, as a weak base can hinder further progress.
For GCSE students, I utilize an 'Example' notebook to aid in their revision process. This notebook serves as a valuable resource for them to revisit and reinforce the concepts covered during our sessions. Additionally, to familiarize them with exam-style questions and the expectations of exam boards, I incorporate relevant exercises to enhance their confidence and performance in examinations.
I am adaptable in my teaching methods, offering both online lessons via Zoom and face-to-face sessions, depending on the tutee's preferences and convenience. This flexibility ensures that students can access my tutoring services in a manner that suits them best.
By employing these strategies and maintaining a professional demeanor, I strive to provide my students with a positive and enriching learning experience that nurtures their academic growth and success.
