I have won three awards for excellence and a superb tutor. In addition, I have successfully employed various teaching approach/ strategy when teaching and found that this led to many positive student outcomes, such as students getting A grades in A level Maths and Further Maths. I have experience in teaching KS2,11+, KS3, GCSE, IGCSE, IB and A Level maths online and face-to-face. I have worked as an examiner with various exam boards such as: Edexcel and AQA. I have worked as an examination officer and I entered students for WJEC, OCR, AQA, Edexcel and City and Guilds exams using SIMS.
I encourage learning by using different manipulatives, hands-on activities and technology. I utilise weekly tests to track students progress, locate areas of weakness and prepare students for final exams.
Being a versatile individual, I have had the opportunity to teach students who functioned below-, on- and above target grade. I have been very successful at accommodating diverse students needs by facilitating all styles of learners, offering individualised and integrating effective materials.

My approach is highly adaptable, tailored to accommodate the unique learning styles of each student. I believe in fostering understanding through clear, concise explanations, followed by structured problem-solving sessions to reinforce their understanding.

I always take a student-centered approach to teaching by asking students to bring their notes and talk me through the topics they feel are most difficult. My aim as your tutor would be to identify your strengths and weaknesses and build upon these appropriately. I would incorporate past paper questions very early in the curriculum to assess how well a child can apply their knowledge to answering exam questions. This will ensure that by the time the exams are sat the student will be fully prepared.

For twenty years we have been preparing students for A-level and GCSE examinations and helping them to achieve the best grades possible. We cover all traditional academic subjects but specialize in the core subjects of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. We provide:

I usually visit students in their homes, but also do lessons via Whatsapp (which works great as we can have phone and laptop open at the same time and send documents). During the Corona-virus shutdown, all lessons will be done via Whatsapp with payment via bank transfer please.

My specialism is with students on the grade 3/4 borderline, although I have experience with all students from Y7 to Y11 including at the top end grade 7 GCSE.
I have a passion for teaching and tutoring others, having done maths tutoring for the past 3 years, and being the Maths prefect at my school when I was in Sixth Form. I have experience working with children, having been a young leader at Brownies from 2019 until 2024, and running the youth debate club at my school for the younger students. I do tutoring sessions online and will do them in person if you are based in Wargrave or Crazies Hill. I have been teaching primary for 4 years now and am greatly enjoying it. I have taught the entirety of KS2 during this time and have experience teaching KS1 also. During my most recent year, I taught year six and supported pupils through their SATs. Pupils achieved a 100% pass mark for the reading paper with 42% achieving the greater depth standard. Pupils also scored highly in grammar and 81% achieved the expected standard in this subject. In maths, 42% of pupils achieved the greater depth standard in 2022-2023.
