For twenty years we have been preparing students for A-level and GCSE examinations and helping them to achieve the best grades possible. We cover all traditional academic subjects but specialize in the core subjects of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. We provide:
– resit courses to improve grades for those who have underachieved at A-level;
– after-school and weekend tuition for those who need additional help with their studies at school;
– full-time A-level courses for students who feel the traditional school environment is no longer for them;
– GCSE courses and tuition;
– support for students applying to Oxford or Cambridge, or for highly competitive courses such as Medicine, Dentistry, and Veterinary Medicine. As well as helping them achieve the grades, we can help with interview practice and with aptitude tests such as the UKCAT and the BMAT, and both the TSA Oxford, and TSA Cambridge;
– revision courses during vacations and at weekends.

I have been teaching primary for 4 years now and am greatly enjoying it. I have taught the entirety of KS2 during this time and have experience teaching KS1 also. During my most recent year, I taught year six and supported pupils through their SATs. Pupils achieved a 100% pass mark for the reading paper with 42% achieving the greater depth standard. Pupils also scored highly in grammar and 81% achieved the expected standard in this subject. In maths, 42% of pupils achieved the greater depth standard in 2022-2023.

I am a research scientist working for UK Research and Innovation. I have more than 6 years of experience tutoring and teaching undergraduate physics and mathematics courses. I strive to hit a balance between (i) showing how certain concepts and formulas naturally arise (which helps students to understand the subject), and (ii) practical tips and tools to solve problems encountered in exams and life. I am also flexible to adapt to the needs of the learner, for example, a student may say: I have two days before the exam, what can I do to maximize my marks? (No shame in that, we all have been there) I have shortcuts ready for such times of emergency. I am also good at identifying strengths students have and can coach them to excel. Whatever may be your case, I am happy to assist you in your journey. Try me out, the first lesson is free!

MIT 2020 graduate in mechanical engineering, currently a PhD student in Biomechanics engineering at the University of Oxford. 2015 IB graduate with a 45/45 grade. I graduated from Amman Academy High School in 2015. I took the International Baccalaureate Diploma and achieved the full score of (45/45) (Four Higher Level subjects). I completed my bachelor's degree, majoring in both mechanical and biological engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, www.*** GPA. I am currently a graduate student (PhD) at the University of Oxford (UK) in biomedical engineering.
I did private tutoring in Amman for college students and high school students in A levels and IB Math subjects, Chemistry and Physics SL and HL, both with the material and with internal reports. In addition, while taking the IB diploma myself, I did extensively help my peers in grasping important or confusing material: (Note: for ethical reasons, I no longer 'help' with IB internal reports or projects).
Apart from teaching IB A-levels, and college prep on the side for 8 years, I worked as a Teacher Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for mechanical and biological engineering subjects (dynamics and control, inorganic chemistry, thermodynamics), as well as a tutor for biofluids and biomechanics at the University of Oxford, helping Professors write the course material, offering recitations and review sessions for my students, and grading weekly homework and quizzes.
I am very interested in the methodology behind teaching and continuously work to learn and improve my approach. I understand that each student is different from the others, and accordingly, I tailor the tutoring session according to the individual needs of the student. I am also friendly, young and easy to approach by the students, and am into reading, sports and health in my free time.
I have also taken the SAT and SAT Subject Tests (Math Level II and Chemistry) required for US university admissions, and scored 800/800 and 780/800, respectively. As well as the GRE scoring 95th percentile in the quantitative section.

My family was living in England before I was born, however, my mum would travel to Germany very often due to her family living there, and therefore I was born in Bochum, Germany. We visit my mum's side nearly every year, which helped me learn the language and now I speak German almost fluently. Studying it in my GCSEs and A levels also helped me develop my knowledge. Originally I'm from Turkey, hence why I'm also very fluent in Turkish. I have tutored many family members and friends that were sturggling with school and they have seen drastic improvements in their grades.

Education is important. It enables people to improve their lives, provides a fresh perspective to open up new career paths, to become more effective and through practice more reliable at their workplaces, reinforces the values of possessing the correct information and using it to the best of one's ability.
Even more important however is ensuring that education of the right quality reaches people, that everyone across age groups has access to it and take part of all it offers. It is there that DSV wishes to make its contribution and mark on the world, by being a provider of reliable and valuable skills and knowledge.
