ABOUT BETWEEN THE RIVERS
B. is a language, cultural and social initiative based in Cambridge (UK). The centre offers language services (language courses, translation, interpreting) between Italian, British English and Chinese. It also organises activities aimed at fostering intercultural understanding between speakers who live across these languages.
ABOUT ME - I am a linguist by passion, training and trade, and have been working as a teacher, translator and interpreter with Italian, English and Mandarin Chinese for the past 25 years. - My life experience across Italy, Nigeria, China and the UK has made me a cosmopolitan individual with a strong passion for intercultural understanding. - I am also a lover of literature and a poet writing in all my three languages, with work published in literary blogs and magazines in Italy, Switzerland, the UK and the US.
MY LANGUAGE TEACHING EXPERIENCE I have spent the past 25 years teaching: - Italian language and culture - English and Mandarin Chinese - Italian literature within the IB Diploma Programme
For three years, I was a full member of ANITI, the Italian National Association of Translators and Interpreters.
MY ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS - 2011, MA in Gender Studies, SOAS, University of London - 2007, CEDILS (Italian equivalent of CELTA), University of Venice (Italy) - 2002, BA + MA integrated degree in Translation and Conference interpreting with Italian, English and Mandarin Chinese, University of Trieste (Italy)
NB: 1-2-1 lessons: Cancellation is free if made at least 24 hours in advance; the free first lesson is online. Group lessons (both in person and online): no refund in case of cancellation; classes start every month (please enquire).

J., Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We provide adults and families in the USA and Internationally the opportunity to learn educational and work skills in order to enhance their everyday lives and enable them to achieve their greatest potential.
J., Inc. Programs Include:
Adult Basic Literacy: For adults who need assistance in basic reading, math, and writing skills.
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL): For adults whose primary language is other than English will receive assistance in speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Citizenship Preparation classes are also available.
Work Readiness and Job Skills: To provide adults with employment skills such as computer, resume writing, interview techniques, and communication skills.
Classes are offered to individuals 16 years of age and older.
Community Classes Available: Foreign Languages and Tutoring for elementary, middle, and high school students.
