Italian Tutor, Teacher, Instructor
I passionate about my job, very experienced, punctual reliable and extremely flexible with my time, my lessons are intellectually stimulating and very entertaining
I have developed a method in teaching that enables all my students to speak fluently, understand properly and write correctly in Italian
(i) For School UNI students I have a deep understanding of the National Curricula from the different Boards, Aqua, Edexcel, Cambridge, and preparing students for University examinations, including UCL or Oxbridge. My experience gave me the ability to quickly spot the student's strengths and weaknesses. The result is that my students have all gained between B and A or A* or 9, at their A-level or GCSE exams, (I had just one student who was given a B, the others all gain A or A* or 9). However as importantly they are able to enjoy fluent speaking and a full understanding of the Italian Language.
(ii) For Adults and Professional students In tutoring adult and professional students I have developed a method which using authentic teaching material, such as New reading, or listening, songs or moves listening. This has allowed all of them to deal in Italian, to a mother tongue level, such as job interviews or giving presentation, or simply talking with Italians once in Italy
Learning a language is the process of understanding which involves all the fours apprehension skills of listening, writing, speaking, reading which makes the entire process a very effective means to train your brain, but most of all is an entire unique psychological and emotional experience. Be able to speak and understand a different language gives a distinctive touch of pride which raises our confidence allowing us to enjoy our skills

Lessons will vary according to your skills, what you want to achieve and the reasons you wish to learn Italian in the first place. If you’re looking to learn how to speak for your next holiday or work trip, lessons can focus on dialogues and improving your vocabulary. The conversation topics will vary depending on the scenarios you want to prepare for. If interested in learning how to write, we can focus on Italian grammar starting from the present simple to past and future tenses, how to structure sentences and paragraphs. It really all depends on your needs and goals. More generally, lessons will involve a combination of reading to improve pronunciation, speaking to learn more vocabulary, listening and writing in the form of letters, texts or emails. Of course, it’s also an opportunity to learn about Italian culture and break down stereotypes. I have studied languages throughout my entire life so I understand which methods work and which don’t. I’m also keen to make lessons fun through word games and quizzes. Lessons can be in person or remote depending on location / preferences.

My interest in Italian language stimulated me to lead Italian classes of adults, Level beginners and Intermediate and for children. In the last year, due the pandemic situation, I gave lessons both in presence and in zoom platform, so I am comfortable using this tool to give lessons to my future students. My knowledge about this platform has developed also during the Teacher Training I have recently attended, organized by the Italian Cultural Institute, the official Italian governmental body dedicated to promoting Italian language, that allowed me to acquire innovative and professional teacher techniques.
As shown by my experience in schools, I am enthusiastic about education and always strive to do the best for my students. I plan my lessons according to the students' needs and interests although I have already a syllabus to follow for different levels. Communicative activities are the core of my lesson including dialogue comprehension and analysis, speaking activities. The approaches I have been using have allowed students to develop the fours skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) although speaking and listening may have the priority in my lessons.

I am a native Italian teacher with more than 15 years of experience teaching Italian in schools and privately.
I've always loved my language and really enjoy passing this love on to someone else by teaching.
About the lessons
My lessons last 2 hours, normally starting with a conversation (with absolute beginners this time is spent in role playing, games and repetitions), followed by homework correction, grammar studies and listening to pre-recorded Italian conversations.
The lessons are very enjoyable and time goes quickly!
Teaching experience
I am a CLTA (Certificate in Teaching Italian to Adults gained at The International House in Rome) qualified tutor of Italian, with over 15 years` experience teaching Italian to adults of all backgrounds, whether learning individually or as a group. I have therefore developed a good understanding of the problems encountered by students who may be learning a language for the first time, as well as those who may be returning to learning after a long gap, and are therefore not only unused to learning, but may need to somehow fit their studies into the limits imposed by a full time working and family life.
I have also a very good record of achievement for students undertaking GCSE, A Level examinations, MLAT test and University interviews.
Approach to teaching
I use the International House method in written and spoken Italian which involves the use of authentic texts, visual, audio and internet resources, also introducing culture, politics and anything else that is of the student’s interest.
This method enables the learners to speak and improve their skills as quickly as possible. Fluency and vocabulary would expand naturally as the course progresses.

Hey there! I'm Luca, a trilingual law student. On top of always speaking English and Italian at home, I have always studied both in English and French, which makes me perfectly Trilingual. I currently hold an IB Diploma with a perfect score in HL French. I am familiar with both A-levels and the Baccalauréat. I have tutored quite a lot of students in the past few years, and they've all made quite a progress! I prefer to focus on practice rather than the traditional way, with a lot of exercises focused on giving you a better understanding of the language and its correct use ( www.*** how to structure a sentence).

Hello, I'm Angela!
I am currently on a gap year and will be starting my first year at medical school next year, so I have a lot of free time that I'd like to use to help students that are in the position I was in less than a year ago.
I aim to provide interactive session that guide the students to apply themselves in their subjects. I have a true passion for these subjects and I am very eager to teach others and share my knowledge. Students are also free to come with their own requests and specific questions and I will be happy to go through getting to an answer with them.
I also aim to share resources and provide tips for revising that helped me achieve 3 A* at alevel and top grades at GCSE. (Only able to tutor for AQA exams).
I have had practice tutoring other young people as a year 13, as I tutored other students in the lower year, and they saw great improvement in their exam results. In one example I had a student go from getting Ds to achieving an A* is a topic test.
I hope you consider booking a session with me!
