Science Clinic Private Tutors was founded in 2010. Our vision was to help struggling children understand the concepts of the major subjects which are sought after by many colleges & universities. Our tutoring was mainly in the main subjects (Maths, all 3 Sciences & English Language) to exam students only. Because of the huge demand of tutoring in all year groups, we now teach students across the board from Primary (KS1 & KS2) through to GCSE, A-level and University. We were luck to have had colleagues we share the same vision with join us. Now we can teach all subjects from Primary through to GCSE, College /A-levels and Science & Maths at University level. All our teachers / tutors are graduates and qualified teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who understand the National Curriculum. Some of them are examiners at GCSE and A-level, which means they know the exam techniques students need to answer the exam questions properly and get better grades. Within the team, we have professionals with very high qualifications ie Masters Degrees (MSc / MA) and PhDs in various subjects. We can, therefore, be confident to say we are professionals who are dedicated to what we do with proven records in the UK’s most entrance and national exams. We are a tutoring organisation that is defined by its professionalism. Our aim is to provide a personal service. This makes us very different from most tutoring companies that just offer a platform for tutors and students to meet. We speak to clients so that we can match them with the most appropriate tutor for their needs. When this happens, the results can be remarkable & confidence grows. We personally know all our tutors and all have had DBS checks and their qualifications checked before we take them on. We are also a member of The Tutors’ Association (TTA) which was formed in 2013 to provide standards to the tutoring industry.

Hello there,
Raising the academic attainment of students has been a deep passion and successful achievement - as a founding former headteacher of a school for 4- 16-year-olds (ten years), a teacher, and a tutor. I have recent English teaching experience at a school (and remotely), in addition to marking GCSE English Language and literature papers. Therefore I am at ease in teaching both key stages three and four students. Over a ten-year period, 98% of my tutees have gained entry into the elite Grammar Schools (a few students gaining scholarships each year too). During the last two years, 97% of my English Language tutees have achieved levels 7-9 in GCSE English Language and 96% in GCSE English Literature.
I am well resourced in teaching face to face or online. An initial consultation with parents, the tutee, in addition to a view of the school reports enables me to gather necessary information about each student. Importantly, the tutorials enable me to get first-hand knowledge of each student enabling me to plan my lessons for the individual.
I look forward to working with you to raise the attainment of your child.

Whilst I have considerable teaching experience at Secondary and primary level, I also have other specialist skills which are vital for students learning.. I am accustomed to teaching children of different ages at the same time with different abilities through my tutoring business. My current classes may contain pupils who need boosting because they are years behind their chronological age in literacy and or numeracy as well as pupils who want to ensure they attain a good SATs and GCSE results. My aim is to achieve the best for each individual student by trying and applying different teaching methods to meet their needs; doing so ensures that every child learns to enjoy success.
Experience has also taught me that misinterpretation of questions can be a major barrier to student achievement in examination along with understanding how to answer questions based on their weight. This is a vital skill that is not only needed to aid SEN students but can be used to help boost the overall achievement of all students.
Having a background in special needs helps me to support pupils’ language development. I teach a lot of literacy and numeracy skills at the tutoring centre, where we cater to children from five years upwards. I am capable of teaching pupils how to construct essays and exam answers when they are struggling with literacy skills. Likewise, I can provide pupils with poor reading skills the necessary support through: developing materials to target their individual needs, using existing materials to meet their need and sometimes to break the monotony, utilise spelling and vocabulary games so they enjoy catching up.

I have a great deal of experience as a tutor. I have been working at one of the UK's leading Grammar Schools for the past four years. I tutor maths GCSE and A level online. I have also conducted numerous online webinars/ webclasses and drop-in sessions for students across the country for A Level maths. I love to make maths engaging. My instagram and YouTube accounts (Mark-a-minute maths) has had a wide following from students and I consistently post short 1 minute videos for students to get snappy, bitesize reviews of topics and model answers to exam questions.

Learn and enjoy! I am an experienced teacher of both adults (my oldest was in his eighties!) and children from beginners to advanced. I aim to give students a solid grounding in all musical aspects to allow an accurate and musical performance and for lessons to be enjoyable. Lessons are therefore structured but informal and move at the student's own pace. I have a 100% success rate for students taking ABRSM Grades 1-8 inclusive, with 75% achieving merit/distinction. (Note - exams are not compulsory but are strongly recommended for children and some of my adult students simply wish to take them!) I also teach up to Grade 5 theory routinely, and exceptionally, Grades 6-8.
Lessons are in my own home. The first lesson is free as it provides an opportunity to assess a starting point and get to know each other before committing any further. Please note, prices quoted are for one hour lessons but 30/45 minute lessons are available for beginners as appropriate at a pro rata rate.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss arranging lessons please message me with contact details and I will phone you a.s.a.p.
Feedback from students:
Sarah: 'Jane is an amazing teacher who has really encouraged my love for music. I really enjoy my weekly lessons.'
Edward: 'I have an excellent teacher who shows such care in helping me improve and makes the overall experience enjoyable.'

I have recently won ‘Best Music Producer’ at the BMA's (Birmingham Music Awards 2020). I have built a respectable name in music with an impressive count of production credits including George The Poet, Mowgs, La Familia and Knox Brown. My music journey started during the early Grime and Bassline/Garage scene and I have worked with pioneers in the genres such as Kele Le Roc, Jamie Duggan, T2, Sub Zero and Trilla Jermaine Trilloski and Gemma Fox. Previously, I signed a publishing deal with District 6 and a distribution deal with ADA Warner music group, both of which I am no longer in.
I have received continued industry support for my work by industry DJs and tastemakers such as Kenny All Stars, Toddla T and DJ Target. I have also collaborated and produced projects with LA based band The wav which saw notable success with tracks like ‘4 Seasons’ and ‘Hands Free’ , accumulating nearly 800,000 streams on Spotify along with international media coverage on leading popular music platforms like Complex. . I also worked as the label producer and in-house studio engineer for Daniel Sturridge’s independent label, Dudley Road Records 2017-2020.
Alongside producing, I am a music educator and mentor for young people. I have been involved with a series of outreach music-making projects such as Capital Xtra’s Music Potential teaching music production to young people from vulnerable backgrounds. I have worked closely with Tenletter PR to release my music over the past two years and had some really great coverage for music i have produced within that time period.

As a student at the Univeristy of Birmingham, I know first-hand how difficult exam stress and exam pressure may feel on a student, and those experiences are still fresh in my mind. Having achieved A*A*A*A in my A-levels, I am equipped in helping students not only increase their potential, but also increasing their confidence in the exam hall.
I may have only been tutoring for a few years, however I am deeply passionate about the success of my students, as well as being an overall fun and engaging tutor who is always there to offer some extra help!

Hi, my name is Kully and it's very nice to meet you. Thank you for taking this time out to read my profile!
For the last 10 years, I have been working as a primary school teacher at an outstanding school.
I have over 15 years experience and have worked within many schools, two of which were long-term.
Over the years, my teaching career has allowed me to experience many different and difficult situations. These in turn have made me a more confident, organised, resourceful and experienced (in many years groups) teacher.
My current role is as a cover teacher - where I teach children from Nursery up to Year 6.
I am currently taking part in the Government led school tutoring program, where at present I tutor 3 children from Year 2 in Writing. This has deepened my experience further, especially when assisting children to achieve the best they can.
I have carried out and planned for many 1:1 or group interventions in Maths and English to assist with our school's Covid catch-up program.
I want to build a good rapport with my tutees, a relationship that is fun, respectful and honest.
It's all about adapting the learning to the tutee and making them feel that they are in control of their learning too. Having a good sense of humour always helps too!
Please leave a message if you would like to discuss your child's needs.
Looking forward to meeting you.
