Having been a student at All Saints Catholic College and now being a student at Greenhead College, my behaviour has always been outstanding. I have never been in trouble or caused a disruption to other students and teachers. My attendance is outstanding (100%) and I am very punctual to events. Along with this, I work in an organized manner and I can accept any challenge that I get given knowing that I won't give up easily. Overtime, I learnt to work in groups with people that I both do and do not know along with using my communication skills confidently. I can cope well with my self-composure along with remaining calm whenever under pressure.
I know I have these traits as I became a student ambassador in secondary school, which is someone that has to cooperate with other people and have the inspiring skills of a leader ( for example encouraging, non-judgemental etc). I also have done my Duke of Edinburgh bronze award which needed me to be able to do challenging tasks and be resilient. In addition, I have attended a group named Conscious Girls which is a community that teaches young women about real life situations, mental health and things within the theme of PSHCE. Not only this, but I also would attend after school open evenings in secondary school to help adults get to certain classes and to help serve refreshments for the people attending the events.
At college I am currently studying Psychology, Medical Science (Level 3 diploma) and Medieval History. I am very passionate about working towards good grades and I see my studies currently being positive and on track considering the achievements I want to make for my future.
As for interests, I am intrigued in True Crime and anything along the lines of Criminology. Due to the captivation that I have within that theme, I would love to have the career of a forensic psychologist later on in life or an archeologist (considering my interest in history too) however I currently want to take my first steps into having a part time job as a tutor and learning what it is like to earn money and work in an environment that I have never been in. I also like History as I have always had an interest in the topic ever since I was in Primary school, hence why I would be more than willing to teach it to younger kids since it would not only give me good experience for the future, but it would also allow me to continue doing something that I enjoy. For my teenhood, my intentions are to be diligent, get into good habits, stay healthy and keep a virtuous attitude throughout the time that I will work here enable to get to the future life that I want.
IMPORTANT - For parents and students information, my strengths in teaching history area in the topics: vikings, angevins, the european witchcraze, nazis way to power from 1933-1939, the first crusade, Crime and Punishment and the Elizabethans. I am capable of teaching many other history-based topics for younger kids which are in KS2-KS3! I am more familiar with the OCR B exam board however I can always attempt to adjust to other standards from other exam boards! Unfortunately I am not able to advertise courses as I am on the free plan but I will gladly teach with the help of textbooks in the library or with my own notes if the student prefers it! :)
I would consider myself to be good with being assertive in my essays and my analysis. I am good with explaining my knowledge in a timeline and also explaining historical events in ways where it will make sense to the student. If they need to go over anything twice I will not hesitate to do so! :) I will attempt to also find practice questions for them to attempt to answer, allowing them to feel like they are learning how to write essays better and memorising information in a way where it is short and sweet, just like history essays should be at GCSE level :)
I would also like to remind you that I am still a student at college, meaning I am only free on Wednesdays (11:05 I finish college) , Thursdays (12:35 I finish college) and the weekends. I would appreciate it if your schedules could fit these timings of when I am free!
Thank you so much for reading!!

I believe I am a strong candidate for tutoring roles for numerous reasons. I have worked in the local area for nearly twenty years and as such I have the personal and social skills required to work with the students from our community regardless of the socio-economic challenges they present. I believe that schools such as my current one and Yewlands are unique in the fact they allow students and staff to grow their skill set and relationships constantly with each other and firmly believe that the students we teach should have the same life chances of others regardless of their post code and backgrounds.
I have been successful in my career to date after joining Chaucer as an NQT in September 2001 I became Head of History within three years and a qualified AST in 2009. I worked in this role to coach and mentor countless NQTs and experienced staff alike to ensure they developed their own pedagogy and further their careers.
I joined the SLT at Chaucer in January 2013 as an Associate Leader with teaching and learning responsibilities and was responsible for coaching and mentoring at whole school and individual levels as well as implementing new whole school homework policies and being instrumental in the introduction of the current new uniform. At the same time as this role I was asked to oversee the History department due to the long term staff illness of the SL at the time.
I have a great deal of experience of line management of staff all at differing stages of their careers and have no difficulty in holding challenging conversations with staff to help them develop their own pedagogy to enhance the outcomes for their classes and their own further development. Throughout my career I have organised and led many enhanced curriculum opportunities both at home and abroad for Humanities subjects and taken part in countless additional activities within school.
In 2017 following the birth of my daughter I made the incredibly difficult decision to stand down from my SLT role whilst retaining the SL role for History to allow myself more family time to enjoy at the crucial early development of my then baby girl. I believe now is the ideal time for myself to begin to take on a new challenging role to reignite my career.

I'm a well qualified History and Politics Teacher who has been tutoring GCSE and A-Level for 3 years. I love planning and teaching exciting lessons and helping to improve progress through accessible learning. I have taught a wide range of history from the ancient to modern day period. I have extensive knowledge of British and American History and Politics as well as Europe through both World Wars. As well as this, I also have a strong knowledge on the Middle Ages and the Renaissance period at GCSE and A-Level. I am also well educated in Irish history and have also extensive experience teaching social issues in Religious Education. I plan and teach using a variety of fun and exciting resources and tailor my activities to the specific needs of each student . I am currently focusing on improving my clients' understanding of exam questions and structure, helping students to focus on the key points of what the paper is asking.

Hi, my name is Cara. I am currently a second year student at the University of Leeds studying a joint honours degree in Ancient History and History. I achieved high grades in all of my A Levels including an A* in English Literature. I am incredibly passionate about English and this passion makes me an ideal tutor in the subject. I have experience working alongside children in KS1 and KS2, volunteering in an after school club and supporting educational visits. I believe in creating a friendly and relaxed environment for students in order to maximise their potential. I cater my lessons to accommodate any goals or worries that the student might want to address, and my lesson plans remain flexible in case the student wants to focus on a particular issue that week. I offer a free 20 minute session to have a quick chat with the student and introduce myself. Feel free to get in contact on here, my email or my WhatsApp if you have any further questions!

Having worked within Additional Educational Needs at Alderwasley (with A level Politics and GCSE History and Citizenship students); City and Guilds English and Maths at both Red Tape and Sheaf Training; AQA English Language at the SUFC Academy (ah, the enemy!); an EFL tutor at Birkdale; an Edexcel GCSE History examiner and privately in the subject areas of History, Politics, Drama and English Literature, and a spell at both Low Edges and Atwood Primary with many a colourful unicorn, I feel my abilities have been sufficiently honed to provide an insightful, compassionate and dedicated individual, who, not only loves his disciplines and the thrill of communicating, but does so with a sense of humour that only years of being a SWFC fan and Labour voter can bring. Moreover, my experience of performing has equipped me with the talent to convey information with erudition and intelligence. Incidentally, some of my plays have been produced in Sheffield, Leeds and London with the good folk of Leeds having had the equal good fortune of witnessing me grapple with musical theatre.

I am an undergraduate student in History and English Literature. I have experience working with children as I completed a summer of Camp America in Pennsylvania where I was responsible for twelve primary school children.
