I am studying medicine at Queen Mary university and want to ensure academic success for all my pupils.
I have worked as a teaching assistant at a Saturday school for 1 year, helping 6-8-year-olds with writing, reading, spellings, singing, dance, and theatre lessons. During this time period, I was also a carer for a child in the class with autism, so I have experience with children who have special abilities.
I have also tutored a Year 12 student for 1 year on AQA A-level biology. Each session we went through the areas of the specification that the student found difficult and worked towards their end of Year 12 exams.
I have achieved Grade 9(A**) in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Grade 8(A*) in Mathematics.
I have achieved A*A*A* for A-level Maths, Biology, and Chemistry.
I have graduated with a 2:1 in Modern Languages (French and Spanish). I can also teach Italian (GCSE), Greek (GCSE/ native) and am certified in Introductory BSL. I have 3 years experience of teaching Greek and English (as a foreign language) as a Language.

PHOTOGRAPHY TUITION
I hold a PhD in Art and Communication with Photography as my field of specialism and a PGCE teaching certificate in Post Compulsory Education. At the same time I am a practising photographic artist with an interest in abstract photography. I have a comprehensive understanding of contemporary photographic practices and of theoretical approaches to the subject, and also have a strong technical grounding both in traditional and in digital processes. I am experienced in all stages of the development of photographic projects, from early conceptualisation through to printing and exhibiting. I have exhibited nationally and internationally in both solo and group shows. My selection for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2008 Exhibition in Liverpool and London is one highlight among them.
As an artist and teacher I insist on the highest professional standards and I emphasise clear and direct communication and honesty throughout. I offer private lessons to photography students and any other individuals who would be interested in 'how to' technical skills sessions, getting support in college and university studies or in developing a photographic body of work etc. and would be in need for some expert advice. I am passionate about photography and about teaching everybody to learn how to `see` and `think` creatively through the lens of a camera but also without it!
GREEK LANGUAGE TUITION
I am a Greek native speaker coming originally from the beautiful island of Crete. I have been living in England for the last 15 years and I have been teaching privately for the last 9 years. I hold a PhD in Art and Communication and a PGCE teaching certificate in Post Compulsory Education. These qualifications provided me with a very good command of the English Language. I am very capable of playing between Greek and English and can help English speakers have a wonderful experience of my native language. I welcome all to explore the magic of Greek language and discover a huge variety of English words that come from a Greek root.

I have helped students form Dubai, south Africa, USA, UK and other countries to take their greek language diploma or learn casual greek to communicate efficiently.
My students have been particularly pleased because we learn in a pleasant way, using books, newspapers, watching videos, listening to songs and exchange conversation with greek people to hear different accents.
