As a Head of the Languages Department and Primary and Secondary Teacher in a school in Leighton Buzzard for over 10 years, I believe I am the right language tutor for you!
I'm fluent in Spanish, ( my native language) French, and English and have spent many years teaching and studying languages. I completed a bachelor's degree in Spanish and English at Manchester/ALmeria University (2008) and studied Spanish and English Literature in school (GCSE and A-Level) so I know how daunting grammar can sometimes feel and how stressful language/literature exams can be... but also how great it feels when you finally start getting it!
On the language side of things, I can help you with your writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and exam technique. I can help you with conversational skills if you're just looking to go traveling or make Spanish/French friends.
On the literature side of things, a large part of my degree was literature-based, so I would be very happy to help any Literature students if you are struggling with the subject.
If you're in school and really want to get an A/A* (7/8/9), I can make sure you achieve your goal. Whatever your current grade, an A/ A*/7/8/9 is achievable. I have taught these exams for many years so I know how they work and how you can do well in them. We will work closely with the syllabus and go through some secrets of exam technique to make sure you get a top grade.
Alternatively, if you're wanting to learn languages for travel or business purposes (or just for fun!) we can tailor the lessons 100% to suit your needs. I also teach courses to adults from beginners to advanced and I always tailored to each student's need. I also teach English to foreigners to achieve the Cambridge Examinations ( A1 to C1).
I effectively deliver and plan online outstanding lessons and the feedback that I have received from parents, pupils, and adult learners have always been very stimulating. I strongly believe in the student centered-approach as always shown in my lesson plans. I believe that all students are individuals with very specific needs so differentiation has always been at the forefront of my teaching practice. I find it very important to address any students’ needs in order to get the best potential out of every single student. I am successful in establishing high expectations of behavior in the classroom whilst still developing positive relationships with my classes.
I love online teaching as well as face to face. I have been doing online experience for the last 5 years and I have helped most of my students to achieve an excellent language level. I use Google Meets, Google Classroom, or even Skype for online teaching. I generally send and post great, fun, and genuine resources so that the student can access them easily and successfully. There are so many fun online resources that I could provide you to enhance your language skills, especially in Speaking; what a great way to speak the language with a native speaker! You will also gain a broad cultural awareness and your fluency and pronunciation will speed up!

On the other hand, I am a 200hr yoga certified instructor for the last 2 years and I can give you online 1-1 lessons from beginners to more advanced practitioners. I can also give the online yoga class via zoom to you and your whole family! If you have children, you will be glad to know that I have trained to teach kids yoga and I have been organizing yoga workshops in primary and secondary schools.

Teaching is my passion. My purpose in life is to create a positive environment in the world. I love to teach children and students of any age group. I have also been associated with Brahma kumaris (World Spiritual Organisation) for 7 years. I have a profound understanding of my subjects, adeptly tailor instruction to diverse learning styles, fosters a positive and inclusive classroom environment and effective communication. I teach English language and music. First, my experience of teaching music. I have extensive experience of working with students at all levels. I have undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in music. I have taught music for the Open University and currently teach music for Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, where my specialty is the history of opera. I am also a senior member of the examinations team for music at the International Baccalaureate Organisation, with particular responsibility for the extended essay in music ( a subject I have written a guide on). My role with IBO involves setting the standard for the extended essay, in consultation with my colleagues, and then leading a team of examiners with the aim of ensuring that the standard is adhered to. I am a trustee of the Society for Music Analysis, the UK's leading learned society for the promotion of the study of music analysis. I have contributed papers to international conferences and founded Theory of Music Ltd a not-for-profit company which provides free and low-cost resources for the study of the history and theory of music. I have extensive experience of teaching online as well as face to face. I am particularly interested in teaching music history and theory.
Second, my experience of teaching English language. I have extensive experience of teaching adult students. I have taught corporate clients for the past 10 years and for the previous 4 years was an IELTS instructor for Aston American University. I taught students online worldwide and helped many students achieve the result they needed in the test. Lessons were usually conducted on zoom or Skype. I also wrote a PTE Academic Test of English course for Aston American. I have published degree level distance learning courses and occasional reviews, e.g. in the Times Higher Education Supplement. Hi everybody, I have been teaching English for ESL students for 15 yrs,I taught all ages starting from 3 yrs old children to 17 yrs old students. I enjoyed teaching them English in general, plus and fortunately I had the chance to teach math and science.
I passionately believe that all students can learn. My 11 year adventure as an educator to children of diverse ethnic backgrounds and abilities, has enabled me to cultivate strategies which bring out the best in all of my students. Building relationships and engaging young people is the bridge to a productive learning environment, where students feel safe to share their ideas and take risks.
