As a Head of the Languages Department and Primary and Secondary Teacher in a school in Leighton Buzzard for over 10 years, I believe I am the right language tutor for you!
I'm fluent in Spanish, ( my native language) French, and English and have spent many years teaching and studying languages. I completed a bachelor's degree in Spanish and English at Manchester/ALmeria University (2008) and studied Spanish and English Literature in school (GCSE and A-Level) so I know how daunting grammar can sometimes feel and how stressful language/literature exams can be... but also how great it feels when you finally start getting it!
On the language side of things, I can help you with your writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and exam technique. I can help you with conversational skills if you're just looking to go traveling or make Spanish/French friends.
On the literature side of things, a large part of my degree was literature-based, so I would be very happy to help any Literature students if you are struggling with the subject.
If you're in school and really want to get an A/A* (7/8/9), I can make sure you achieve your goal. Whatever your current grade, an A/ A*/7/8/9 is achievable. I have taught these exams for many years so I know how they work and how you can do well in them. We will work closely with the syllabus and go through some secrets of exam technique to make sure you get a top grade.
Alternatively, if you're wanting to learn languages for travel or business purposes (or just for fun!) we can tailor the lessons 100% to suit your needs. I also teach courses to adults from beginners to advanced and I always tailored to each student's need. I also teach English to foreigners to achieve the Cambridge Examinations ( A1 to C1).
I effectively deliver and plan online outstanding lessons and the feedback that I have received from parents, pupils, and adult learners have always been very stimulating. I strongly believe in the student centered-approach as always shown in my lesson plans. I believe that all students are individuals with very specific needs so differentiation has always been at the forefront of my teaching practice. I find it very important to address any students’ needs in order to get the best potential out of every single student. I am successful in establishing high expectations of behavior in the classroom whilst still developing positive relationships with my classes.
I love online teaching as well as face to face. I have been doing online experience for the last 5 years and I have helped most of my students to achieve an excellent language level. I use Google Meets, Google Classroom, or even Skype for online teaching. I generally send and post great, fun, and genuine resources so that the student can access them easily and successfully. There are so many fun online resources that I could provide you to enhance your language skills, especially in Speaking; what a great way to speak the language with a native speaker! You will also gain a broad cultural awareness and your fluency and pronunciation will speed up!

On the other hand, I am a 200hr yoga certified instructor for the last 2 years and I can give you online 1-1 lessons from beginners to more advanced practitioners. I can also give the online yoga class via zoom to you and your whole family! If you have children, you will be glad to know that I have trained to teach kids yoga and I have been organizing yoga workshops in primary and secondary schools.

Try our French or Spanish Clubs for Pre-school and Primary School children running online and lead by our dedicated team of experienced native speakers, based in the UK, who have been successfully delivering their 30-minute clubs online since the first lockdown in March 2020.
Developed from our well-established in-school clubs and supported by « le club français », our clubs offer children the opportunity to hear and speak French or Spanish, sing songs, make drawings and enjoy directed online games together in French or Spanish.
Members receive a songbook with soundtracks and access to our « Babelzone » website, for home-learning which is full of many of the engaging on-line videos, stories and games in French and Spanish which we use in our courses. See images of Babelzone's contents in the photo gallery below.

Madame Prevost (Stephanie): French national and club leader since 2015 - running French clubs online after school, most days. In normal times she runs French clubs in all three Primary Schools in Thame in Oxfordshire.
Mademoiselle Bloch (Emilie): multilingual Swiss student of dance and club leader since 2019, running French clubs and offering Spanish clubs online on Sunday mornings. In normal times she also runs French and Spanish clubs in the Busy Bees children's nursery in High Wycombe

Staff Training: In addition to our fortnightly online team meetings, we attend regular online training courses run by « le club français » ( www.*** ) to keep us up to date. This has been particularly helpful with our recent move into delivering online clubs.
Precise Charges: £ www.*** per weekly 30-minute club and £ www.*** for the course welcome pack. Payment is per term, with the option to pay by instalments, and a 10% sibling discount. However, should your child not wish to continue after the first session there would be no charge.

WHY SHOULD YOU CONSIDER ME?!
I am an enthusiastic secondary school Spanish and French teacher with high aspirations for my students, supporting them to challenge themselves and achieve. I am currently studying for my Masters in Education, for which I am researching the use of mobile phones and technology to teach grammar in MFL.
In my first year as an A Level teacher I received 100% A-A* grades in my class. Last year, 88% of my Higher Spanish GCSE students received a grade 6 or above.
My teaching involves creating and delivering engaging and exciting lessons which motivate students. I enjoy incorporating technology into my classes and find the use of culture, such as music, is key to teaching languages. Recent examples of exciting lessons I have taught include a writing task on students’ phones using emojis and challenging Sixth Form students to act as a ‘government’ and come up with their own racism laws and policies, considering logistics and money, totally in target language, for one lesson.
I have a year of experience of teaching online as a secondary school teacher working during corona virus lockdown in 2020/2021. I am also completing my Masters in Education in online/mobile learning currently.

I am a very motivated, ambitious and hard working teacher of languages with more than 8 years experience in teaching French in the UK and outside of the UK. My teaching journey started in Romania, straight after I have finished my university in my home country. I have clearly and effectively transmitted my knowledge and making my lessons fun and enjoyable while I could see my students grow in confidence and interest in learning a new language. Carrying on I have moved my skills to England, when I have joined my family in 2010. In the beginning I have taught mainly privately, learning how to tailor the content of my lessons to both very needy but also extremely talented children and I have admired the results, strength and confidence of each of my private students. In 2014 I have joined a local school, Northwood School , as an EAL teacher first, role that has taught me a lot, from approaching non English language students to working on destroying the barriers to access education to all students. I have provided differentiated work for the most vulnerable and demanding students, I have spent my time in making my materials accessible and tailor-needs made. Moving on in the same school I have taken a class of very demanding and weak year 9 of French. I was responsible of teaching a GCSE class of 19 students and there were times when the behaviour had to be monitored and controlled with enforcing rules and sanctions in order for the teaching to happen. I kept my calm and passion for teaching and I have managed to deliver my lessons in a desirable atmosphere always reminding the students of the need to learn a language which is more than a GCSE exam, but it is a precious life skill. I have left Northwood while in maternity leave and started my own private tutoring company, but after a couple of years my passion for teaching in a school environment have drawn me back and in January 2022 I have been slowly starting to teach little by little as a supply teacher.
