I have been teaching German and French to GCSE level for 14 years and have a proven track record of excellent GCSE results in both languages. I have experience in teaching in ability sets, mixed ability groups and also SEND students. Prior to entering the teaching profession, I lived in Stuttgart, Germany for a total of 12 years where I worked within industry as a commercial translator firstly for an international law firm and then within the in-house translation service of an internationally-renowned automotive company in Stuttgart. I have also taught English as a second language at a language school in Bordeaux, France and have worked as a freelance translator on assignments from both German and French into English.
My name is Caroline and I’m an MFL teacher at Turton School in Bolton where I currently teach French and Spanish. I’ve also taught German and Latin. I have successfully taught students through their GCSE course and currently teach some of the A level course. I love language teaching and am always striving to improve my practice. With this in mind I am also responsible for training our trainee teachers which I really enjoy.
I look forward to hearing from anyone who feels they need extra support, guidance or practice at any stage of French learning. Please feel free to message me to discuss your needs- I am flexible and provide many of my own resources as well as being able to work around whatever your requirements are.
