Over the last 10+ years, I've diligently tutored students, guiding them from 11+ entrance exams to A-level proficiency, encompassing a spectrum of Exam Boards. So far, every pupil secured admission into prestigious grammar and private schools at the 11+ stage, while consistently surpassing their predicted grades for both GCSE and A-level examinations.
My approach is highly adaptable, tailored to accommodate the unique learning styles of each student. I believe in fostering understanding through clear, concise explanations, followed by structured problem-solving sessions to reinforce their understanding. I then encourage independent practice, either during our sessions or as homework assignments.

My priority is tailoring each of my lessons according to individual students, which is a key aspect of one-to-one tutoring. I also use questions and homework to check understanding continually. I usually focus on exam-style or past paper questions in order to check, practice and perfect the student`s understanding and technique.
I always take a student-centered approach to teaching by asking students to bring their notes and talk me through the topics they feel are most difficult. My aim as your tutor would be to identify your strengths and weaknesses and build upon these appropriately. I would incorporate past paper questions very early in the curriculum to assess how well a child can apply their knowledge to answering exam questions. This will ensure that by the time the exams are sat the student will be fully prepared.
I prepare materials which allow them to reinforce their understanding to learn a difficult subject. I gradually strengthen their knowledge and bring them to a higher level.
Materials included:
- Homework
- Mock exam questions
- Quiz sessions
- Past papers
I am teaching the following:
KS2 & KS3 Maths
GCSE Maths - All Exam Boards (Foundation & Higher Tier 9-1 Syllabus)
A Level maths - Exam Boards (Edexcel, OCR, OCR MEI, AQA)

I am a Bioanalytical Scientist with a Bachelor's degree in Human and Medical science and therefore have a very good understanding of Biology and Chemistry. Furthermore I have 6 months experience as a substitute teacher and a year's experience as a TEFL teacher. I have always enjoyed Sciences, English and Urdu language and feel they have always been my greatest academic skills. Due to my passion for the subjects and great understanding, I have been able to make them simpler and easier to understand for all my fellow peers ans siblings in the past. I hope to bring these skills and passion in use with my students as well. I am happy to help children of all levels from KS1 to A-levels who are struggling or need extra motivation. I am happy to modify the class as per student needs. Depending on student specification and weak topics I can plan lessons to suit individual style of learning by either providing extra supprt and material or by going over the topic again to make it simpler and easier to understand. Through my experience in labs I will use real life examples and videos, wherever possible to help my students with their curriculum. I can teach KS1 - A-levels for science and Urdu and will provide one to one support to each student to ensure a good experience and learning I am happy to provide tuition online or from my home. I have 1000s of hours in tutoring KS3, GCSE and A-level students and helping them achieve stellar grades. Over the past 5 years I have become more than a tutor to my students, I see myself as a mentor and someone they can relate with and feel comfortable t0 come to with any academic problems. I am very funny and laidback. As a younger tutor I find it useful to have an informal relationship with my students as they tend to feel more at ease and more receptive to my teaching. I prefer online tutoring, but I can travel in exceptions. I am always eager to help and very flexible so please feel free to message me and we can discuss how I can best help your child achieve their goals.

I am an experienced Mathematics tutor, helping students from GCSE to university level for over twelve years. I have a BSc in Mathematics from Imperial College, London and an MSc in Financial Mathematics from Warwick University.
Tutorial sessions would normally take place at my home in Stanmore or online.
INITIAL SESSION: I take the opportunity to understand more about the student, past exam results, other subjects being studied and future goals – this enables me to plan further sessions tailored to the areas which need most attention at the right time.
CONFIDENCE: I try to help students gain confidence in their ability by working on areas of weakness first. I try to break problems down into manageable chunks and explain those parts that do not make sense in more detail, using my communication skills to explain concepts in a simple way.
HOMEWORK PROBLEMS: these are set to consolidate what is covered during the sessions and to identify gaps in the learning; so feedback from this process is crucial to ensure that progress is continually being made.
EXAM PREPARATION: more emphasis on past papers, consolidation of knowledge and exam strategy, but this depends on individual circumstances. I provide my own solutions to past papers questions as needed.

I was born & raised in Australia, studied maths & physics & computer science at uni & then have literally worked all over the world in high tech industries, where I have worked as a scientist, a software developer, a trainer and as a manager. I have probably used maths every day of my life!
I strongly believe that education is the key to saving the world & on an individual basis a good education will make your whole life so much better. 'Good' may be down to the teaching resources available in your neighbourhood - which is a lottery! (Hence you might need me :) )
You may also find that I am trying to find the fun in all situations (at least wrt maths) - so hopefully lessons with me will be quite entertaining.
Ever since my uni days, I have tutored people in maths - from upper primary through to A level/HSC/VCE/IB level - and one of my first jobs was as a maths teacher in a 'tough' boys school in Barking (London).
In my work in industry I have taught many classes about many things to people of all cultures and creeds.
My personal style is to always try to translate maths into real world examples that you can relate to AND I try make the lessons funny (it is possible with maths!). The combination will help you remember what you have learnt.
As a natural extension of maths I can also help you with advanced MS-Excel techniques, basic computer science and iphone app development in Xcode & Swift.
In your first lesson we will find out about where you are at with maths and your areas of concern - and I'll explain about how I may be able to help you. We will immediately jump into 1 or 2 of your problem areas, so by the time we have finished the first lesson, you will know if I am going to be the right tutor for you.
I also promise you it will be fun from the word go :)
Pricing
Your first lesson will be free of charge, assuming it is online or in Windsor. Thereafter £22/hour. If I have to drive within 5 miles of Windsor, then it's £25/hour. Beyond that, while I'd like to help you, honestly it isn't worth it for me or you. In that case am sure you will find another good tutor closer.

My biggest priority, more than anything, is inspiring my students to realise their own potential. As a qualified teacher, with over 10 years' experience across the primary phase, I have been able to support children make accelerated progress in their maths, reading and writing.
In particular, I have worked to support children with preparing for their SATS in KS1 and KS2.
I prefer to work with children 1:1 to ensure they get the targeted support they need to reach their potential. I find that in-person support works best for reading.
I have a secure knowledge of how children learn, and have taught all subjects, so I am well-equipped to support children in all areas of their learning beyond English and maths.

I graduated from the University of Surrey in July 2023 with a 2:1 degree in BSc Business Economics. For my first two years, I studies BSc Mathematics and Economics but for my final year, I decided to change my degree to Business Economics since I had more of a passion for Business. I studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Economics for my A-Levels and scored ABB respectfully. I scored a grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics (A*) , grade 7 (A) in GCSE English Literature and Language and an A* in GCSE Further Mathematics, scoring 4A*s , 6As and 1B. Mathematics has always been my favourite subject and I also very much enjoy teaching it to other people. I also have a musical background, particularly within playing the piano and keyboard. I am a Grade 8 pianist and I am very close to completion. I am looking to tutor piano or keyboard for people who want to play for pleasure and I am not looking to teach grades or prepare anyone for examinations. My specialty revolves around playing Bollywood and English piano covers.
