Then, with the dance studio I practiced at, I began a job as a teaching assistant at age 14. Over my four years of employment, I worked with Students aged 3-15 in helping them learn new combinations and better their technique in preparation for performances. This job allowed for me to build my own communication skills and garner understanding for how to cater to individual learning styles. In my final year of this job, I began helping younger students before or after class with their academic work as well-- students aged 8-12 would see me for maths, history, and/or english help. Through the years, my ability to understand and communicate with students, individualize learning styles, and my responsibilty for the well-being of students has become part of my skill-set.
