I have many years of experience in different sectors of education including primary, secondary and special needs.
Welcome! I have been teaching for over twenty years as a private tutor, face to face and online. I have also had experience of teaching in the classroom in both primary, secondary and further education. My strength is my unbridled enthusiasm and a desire and joy to realise a student can do it. My apporaching to teaching in general is to make the subject both fun and interesting. This often makes students feel at ease and hence enables success to become achievable.
As can be seen from my profile, my main degrees are in music and creative writing. The study of these disciplines gives the subjects I teach, Maths and English.
I have a passion for tutoring kids. Even when I was in high school I used to tutor children 1:1 in helping them gain their confidence in speaking, reading and writing English proficiently. I have experience in tutoring IELTS to non-native English speakers and I am patient which I believe is an important quality to have. I study sociology which I believe will give me an upper hand as I can understand the psyche of the child I would be tutoring and how I can better tailor lessons to their suitability.

Hi! I'm Jacob G., a 20-year-old BA English student. Due to the pandemic, I'm currently studying remotely with the University of Lincoln. I'm in the second year of my degree and have also completed GCSEs and A-Levels in English Language and Literature.
Upon finishing my degree, I would like to go on to become an English teacher, hence providing my services as a tutor.

Hi there! I'm Anni and I'm a highly experienced and qualified primary teacher (PGCE distinction, CELTA, DELTA, English Literature degree). I specialise in phonics and helping EAL learners, but I can help any learner to thrive in all areas of their English learning.

Teaching has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I first started tutoring French and Spanish to the younger years when I was in my second year of Sixth Form college in the UK at the age of 16. My love for helping people to expand their knowledge and communication in a language only kept developing from that moment. I am Lizzie, from London, I am 22 years old and I have a BA Honors in Modern Languages, during which I completed a teaching module in my last year of university and I taught English abroad in France and Argentina in my third year. I have experience in teaching all ages, from 3 to 60! I am currently a part-time English teacher with the British Council in a university in Bogota, Colombia. I also work with people with special learning needs in my classes and adapt the classes as needed.
I always bring fun as well as productivity to my lessons, ensuring they are engaging and cater to the needs and preferences of each student. I am patient, enthusiastic and out-going, I believe there is no such thing as a silly question! My teaching methods include planning but adaptability, if a student on the spot says they want to work on something particular, I happily improvise and ensure they gain understanding on said topic. I like to maintain a balance of vocabulary and grammar, and mainly I focus on conversation and listening comprehension, as this is real life!
I am a very creative person, I love art, music and dance. I love to explore new cultures and travel too.
As I have just graduated last year, I have very fresh memory of how to learn languages effectively, this puts me in a position of empathy when teaching!
