I am a first year student studying BSc Psychology at Durham University. At A-levels, I studied English Literature (A*), Psychology (A) and Biology (A) and completed an EPQ (A*); and at GCSEs I achieved 11 grades 7-9, including: 9s in English Literature and Latin, 8s in Maths, English Language, French, Biology, Physics, Geography and Ancient Greek, and 7s in Music and Chemistry. I have experience being as a GCSE English Literature and Language tutor and a revision mentor, as well as being a volunteer primary school classroom assistant for a year. Additionally, I hold a TEFL level 2 qualification, a Coaching and Mentoring [CPD certified] qualification and a Child Protection for Tutors certificate [CPD certified].
I am offering tutoring in Edexcel (i)GCSE for English Language and Literature, as well as Edexcel A-Level English Literature and AQA Psychology A-Level.

Following completion of A-Levels in History, English Literature and Health and Social Care, I began my career in education through obtaining a degree in primary education, specialising in the arts and humanities. I have taught children ranging from 4-11 in addition to gaining experience in EAL, SEN and training in BR@P and Prevent. I have further experience as a nursery nurse and a childminders assistant focusing on preparing early years children for school. Throughout this time, I have developed a child-centred approach to teaching by observing the child and tailoring to their individual needs based on personality, learning style and level.
I have worked in primary schools, high schools and taught those who find barriers to education, likewise I have also worked in FE (Further Education) again teaching English and maths and employability skills. I also have experience of teaching in industry, English, maths and employability skills again plus Health and safety in a construction environment.
I regard myself as a caring professional person, that understands learners needs.
My teaching qualifications include being T. A (Teaching Assistant with SEN modules) and an Adult learning teacher holding DTLLS, (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector) and an ESOL / TEFL (English, Maths, Mathematics, Employability, and Health and Safety lessons in Bishop Auckland, UK. Teaching English as a Foreign Language) teacher holding a masters in that area. I have a B. A honours degree 2:1 (Upper Second a short skip from being a First ) in Hisoty, Sociology adn Criminology and could also help students in these areas of study if need be,

I have been teaching for the past 18 years. I have worked in primary schools across County Durham and have considerable experience in teaching across all the primary phases.
