Working as a teacher in several schools has helped me gain experience teaching learners of different ages and abilities, from top set pupils to learners with profound learning difficulties.
I have always had a strong interest in languages because the opportunities for self-expression abounds in the subject, and it provides valuable transferable skills which, when taught appropriately, enable young learners to build confidence in their ability to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

Raising the academic attainment of students has been a deep passion and successful achievement - as a former Founding Principal of a school for 4- 16-year-olds, a current practising English teacher, and a tutor. I am currently teaching English on a full-time basis and therefore have up-to-date knowledge in English Language and Literature. I have significant experience teaching remotely. In addition, I have extensive experience in marking GCSE English Language and literature papers. Over ten years, 98% of my tutees have entered elite grammar schools (a few students have gained scholarships each year, too). During the last two years, 97% of my English Language tutees have achieved levels 7-9 in GCSE English Language and 96% levels 7-9 in GCSE English Literature.
I am well-resourced in teaching face-to-face or online. I live and work as an early career teacher in Leamington Spa, and enjoy working with each and every child thoroughly, making them feel comfortable and confident. I am a Masters qualified English Language Teacher with 10 years experience in the classroom. The first and largest chapter of my career was teaching in Vietnam, where I worked at the Vietnam Australia School and The British Vietnamese International School, part of Nord Anglia.
