I have been teaching primary for 4 years now and am greatly enjoying it. I have taught the entirety of KS2 during this time and have experience teaching KS1 also. During my most recent year, I taught year six and supported pupils through their SATs. Pupils achieved a 100% pass mark for the reading paper with 42% achieving the greater depth standard. Pupils also scored highly in grammar and 81% achieved the expected standard in this subject. In maths, 42% of pupils achieved the greater depth standard in 2022-2023.

I have twenty years of experience of teaching English to a variety of ages and have tutored for the last ten years; I have taught and tutored in English Language and Literature GCSE as well as coaching for Year 6 SATs.
I have spent the last ten years as Deputy Head of the Unicorn School in Abingdon and have amassed a wealth of experience in teaching young people with dyslexia and other speech and language difficulties.
I also have experience in using online programmes for tutoring, specifically, Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
I can travel to a student's house or can tutor in my own home, which ever is more suitable.
I look forward to hearing from you.

I’ve been teaching in a local secondary school since 2004. I have vast experience with both AQA and Edexcel syllabi for both A Level and GCSE. I’ve worked as an examiner for both KS2 and KS3 SATs and can deliver sessions on these levels easily.

Hello there,
I am a Spanish and English Graduate from the Russell Group University of Leeds with over 3 years tutoring experience. This began with a mixture of guided reading coaching, teacher shadowing and teaching EFL tutoring in Madrid for two consecutive summers. Here I was entrusted with independently researching and collating my own lesson plans to markedly raise the linguistic level of nine-year-old Alejandro. Within a week, Alejandro could form the second and third conditional clauses in English, a high-level requirement for a student of his age. Personally, this taught me that flexibility is paramount in engaging students and improving their confidence; there is no one-size-fits-all method to tutoring.
I currently provide professional online GCSE tuition in English Literature and Spanish for “Tutortoo”. Although I am accustomed to teaching individual pupils, I am also regularly entrusted to teach large groups of 30+ with the company “Elite Medics”. I am well-versed in Spanish AQA and Edexcel exam structures and mark schemes and am confident in my online communication and engagement. I prioritize student feedback, seeking suggestions and confirmation that tasks are fully understood. In turn, I ensure that I tailor classes around their needs and passions in order to ensure a successful academic output. I also enjoy testing consistently on topics from weeks before, to develop a long term learning method.
Within Spanish, my study placement in ‘La Universidad de Oviedo’ allowed me to grasp the colloquialisms and conversational that textbooks occasionally fail to master. Whilst I will provide you with the expected tools to meet the marking criteria, I also seek to inspire and motivate with the sense of joy and spoken confidence that I gained from my experience abroad. Other formative leadership experiences, such as teacher shadowing and guided-reading coaching, armed me with the skills to effectively communicate with Primary and Secondary school pupils in an assured manner. Through witnessing the linguistic improvements of Alejandro in Madrid and the ongoing development of my current pupil, I am assured that my optimistic attitude, paired with a thorough knowledge of my chosen subjects, facilitates the academic growth of others.
Within English, I am passionate about discovering the inner creativity in my students. Originality of ideas was the key contributor to my recent Dissertation success, as well as my A-Level achievements. I will thus not only hone the pupil’s articulate and engaging writing style but also cultivate confidence in their own instinctual ideas. For this reason, I consistently repeat the mantra that “There is no wrong answer” during my English lessons.

Hello there,
I am a qualified English teacher with extensive successful experience teaching in both state and independent schools. In addition, I am a former School Principal with over 10 years of leadership experience. I have extensive experience in tutoring Key stages two to GCSE level.
Raising the academic attainment of students has been a deep passion and successful achievement - as a former Founding Principal of a school for 4- 16-year-olds, a current practising English teacher, and a tutor. I am currently teaching English on a full-time basis. I have significant experience teaching remotely. In addition, I have extensive experience in marking GCSE English Language and literature papers. Over ten years, 98% of my tutees have entered elite grammar schools (a few students have gained scholarships each year, too). During the last two years, 97% of my English Language tutees have achieved levels 7-9 in GCSE English Language and 96% levels 7-9 in GCSE English Literature.
I am well-resourced in teaching face-to-face or online. An initial consultation with parents and tutee, possibly a view of the school reports, will enable me to gather necessary information about your child. Importantly, the tutorials enable me to obtain first-hand knowledge of your child, enabling me to plan my lessons for the individual.
I look forward to working with you to raise the attainment of your child.
Warm Wishes,
Yasmin

In addition, I work as a translator for Macmillan and inspect for various organisations (which are covered by non-disclosure agreements).
I have recently spent much of my time helping pupils through GCSE in French and Latin and A Level in French. I have successfully tutored pupils for admission to Eton College and Winchester College and helped non-English speakers to become bi-lingual.
I am not cheap! I am a very serious academic!
