I am a highly experienced and enthusiastic tutor to students up to 18 years of age with a Masters in Education and responsibility for tutoring and assessing newly qualified teachers. I have taught in schools as a senior leader for over 20 years and have been an examiner for the Edexcel and AQA exam boards for over 15 years. I pride myself in delivering personalised learning programmes to all of my students and ensure that all work completed is awarded with the highest level of written and verbal feedback. My lessons are always well resourced and are matched to the student's abilities and interests to make them challenging, engaging and enjoyable. I am very professional but also have an excellent rapport with my students. I tailor lessons to each individual and deliver them in a warm, encouraging and friendly manner whilst maintaining the highest expectations of all my tutees.

I have over 30 years experience as a professional practitioner in the Performing Arts including directing, stage management and teaching. -Our lessons- We will set our goals as soon as we begin working together, identifying what you want to get out of our sessions and making a plan to work toward this. Once we know what outcome we are aiming for, we will use a wide variety of techniques to bring your goals to life. In particular, we will draw on real life texts and case studies to make sure that your understanding is as well rounded as possible. If you are aiming towards taking a certain exam, we will also draw heavily on past paper questions and example answers, which we will assess together to identify their strengths and weaknesses and to understand how you can progress. In business or general contexts, we will work together to ensure we build the specific skills you are looking for. In general, I will ask you to complete a couple of short exercises in between sessions. We will then discuss these together to understand our next steps. -My background- I am currently working towards my Master's degree in Communication Strategies, having previously achieved a first class BA (Hons) in English and Drama from Queen Mary University London. I was also selected to present my thesis research at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research. During my studies, I supported students with essay writing, study skills and proof reading, further developing my tutoring skills. Following my degree, I worked at a boarding school in Oxford where I worked with international students from around the world to help them to get the most from their studies and to build their English language skills.
