I am a highly experienced and enthusiastic tutor to students up to 18 years of age with a Masters in Education and responsibility for tutoring and assessing newly qualified teachers. I have taught in schools as a senior leader for over 20 years and have been an examiner for the Edexcel and AQA exam boards for over 15 years. I pride myself in delivering personalised learning programmes to all of my students and ensure that all work completed is awarded with the highest level of written and verbal feedback. My lessons are always well resourced and are matched to the student's abilities and interests to make them challenging, engaging and enjoyable. I am very professional but also have an excellent rapport with my students. I tailor lessons to each individual and deliver them in a warm, encouraging and friendly manner whilst maintaining the highest expectations of all my tutees.

Previously a school leader of literacy projects, Gifted and Talented Co-ordination and a Head of History. Within formal education settings, I am trained and experienced in teaching English and Humanities up to A-Level and Maths and Science up to GCSE.

I am an award-winning writer/editor who has been working professionally since secondary school. Along with my studies in English and Creative Writing at the University of Plymouth, I served as a contributing editor at humour channel Dropout (ironic). My work has been published in The New York Times (online, print, and international editions), The New Yorker, Vice, The Guardian, The Onion, IGN, The www.*** Club, Inverse, Collider, and many more. My humour writing was featured in Slate's "Best Comedy" year-end lists in 205, 2016, 2017, and 2019. I also appeared in Apple's "Best Entertainment Writing of 2019" shortlist, and won the Daily Telegraph's "Young Sportswriter of the Year" award in 2009.
After serving as a private tutor in New York and participating in the city's Big Brother Big Sister (BBBSNYC) program, I returned to the UK to continue to write and help current students of all ages grow in their learning of English Language, English Literature, and Creative Writing. I am a first year Physics student at the University of Kent. I have always enjoyed teaching and academia, so much so that my dream in life is to become a theoretical physicist after graduation.
