About the Lesson
I offer one, one and a half, and two-hour lessons, using questioning techniques to encourage deeper thinking and help students achieve top grades in English. My experience includes teaching a wide range of texts such as Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, The Sign of the Four, A Christmas Carol, An Inspector Calls, and poetry from the Power and Conflict and Love and Relationships anthologies. I have also served as an examiner, marking AQA English Literature Paper 2, and will be marking Language Paper 1 this year.

Originally, I am from Germany, but I have lived and studied in the UK for almost 5 years now. I have an undergraduate degree in English Literature, where I was awarded a prize for having achieved the highest marks in my year, and a Master’s in Comparative Literature.
As you can tell, languages have been one of my passions for years and as I am approaching my academic career, I want to share this excitement for languages and literatures with you and help you feel confident. Aside from being a native speaker in German and fluent in English, I have learned multiple languages in a classroom-based setting over the years. I am experienced at tailoring individual lessons to help your student to make progress and to support their understanding of key skills and the GCSE examination in both English Literature and English Language.
