For nearly 10 years, I have been working both as a private tutor and a schoolteacher, teaching predominantly Spanish and English to students of all ages and abilities in person and online. Following a lifelong love of languages, I studied Spanish and English Literature at GCSE, achieving A* and A respectively, and at A-level, achieving B and A* respectively. In 2015, I advanced my studies at the University of Reading, where, in 2019, I obtained my BA in Spanish and English Literature. In my year abroad, I studied in Mexico (University of the Americas Puebla) and Cuba (University of Havana). As a consequence, I have developed my essay writing techniques and structures to a level that is a very high standard. Firstly, a bit about me. I am a graduate of Edinburgh University with a BA Honours degree in Law and French. I spent 25 years working in International digital marketing in London, managing and training sales teams across Europe, Asia and America (You can see more details about my career on my linkedin page).
For the last 5 years I have combined freelance Digital Marketing consultancy with online English tuition for students and professionals from across the world.
I have a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (grade B) from International House, Sydney and an Advanced Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), and Teaching Business English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
My lessons are fun and friendly, but always with a clear objective. I love the English language and I love teaching it.
