Based in the heart of the cotsworlds, I have been tutoring for officially 7 years but my journey with education has been a lot longer. I am someone who developments their own knowledge alongside tutoring and supporting students through the education system. I not only cater to 1-2-1 session but I offer group sessions, 12-week courses, familiy support and exam www.*** ;
I am someone who fully invests in my student, I like my students and their family to keep communication from week to week and I am now offering families the opportunity to have full time support through the education system from year 7 to 9 to bridge the gap between home and school life. Secondary school can be daunting for students and parents alike, there are more subjects to stay on top of, more information to absorb and students are left until GCSEs because they have almost no support by the education system. They are expected to know what they want to do for the rest of their lives at the age of 14, some are lucky enough to know. However, if your child is anything like I was, where managing time and fitting in my extra curricular activities alongside school life was tough. I would love the opportunity to support you and your child through your secondary education www.*** ;
When it comes to 1-2-1 sessions, I use a students strengths to build on their weakness. What I mean by this is, if I have a student is musical but struggles with maths, I will use music to infulence maths, physics and chemistry. If I have a student who is stronger in English I will use that and I will create a maths based story. I have taught trigonometry on the football pitch and fractions from a musical score. I have the ability to make learning fun and with the support from parents when I set work, I can encourage students to do their work and find a love of learning.
If you're looking for stress free and effective English lessons, you're in the right place!

English and English Literature lessons in Cheltenham, UK.
I have more than 30 years experience as a tutor, teacher and school leader working in the UK and abroad in Japan and, most recently, as an educational advisor in Rwanda.
I am committed to providing the best possible learning outcomes for all children and have particular strengths in teaching Early Years (3-5 years), children with SEND, children for whom English is an additional language and children who require motivation to fulfill thier potential. I have taught at class and small group level, and on a 1-1 basis, mostly on a face to face basis but am adapting to online methods. I also have experience of coaching and mentoring.
I have also designed a programme to support children's skills in learning, developing soft skills such as resilience and focus.
I am a tutor with over 25 years experience across all key stages and tutoring adults. I graduated from the University of Durham in 1992 with a BA Hons in Music before training as a primary school teacher. After 10 years I moved to secondary where I was Head of Music and taught Music, Mathematics, English and EPQ. I have extensive experience working with different learning needs and was responsible for introducing a phonics support programme at my own children's school when they were diagnosed with Dyslexia. I aim to make learners feel secure and confident by building a relationship with them and carefully matching lessons to their needs, abilities and interests. I am currently offering online tuition in Mathematics, English, Music and Science to GCSE and Music Theory at grades 1 to 8. Hourly rate: Individual tuition £35/ hr £20/ 30 mins I am also happy to teach small groups so if you feel that it would be beneficial for your child to be learning alongside their friends I can set up sessions where the cost can be shared between families. I am located in Cheltenham (GL52 3HF) and would be happy to take on students who would like to transfer to face to face tuition once the current situation is over as well as students who wish to learn exclusively online.

I have worked in education since 2004, as a class teacher in Years 3 and 5, a museum teacher and most recently as a Year 5 and 6 teacher in a village school in the Forest of Dean. I have been providing private tuition since 2011. The children I have tutored have gained in confidence, improved their skills and moved up groups in school within months."We can't thank you enough for all the help and guidance you have given H during the time you have taught him." (Parent)"Thank you for helping me get better at maths and literacy. Since you have been helping me I have moved up a set to a better class. I am pleased about this, as now I feel more confident." (Year 5 pupil)"You are the best teacher ever!" (Year 2 pupil)"Wow, so happy! My daughters have just had their first session of the summer course and they were so enthused to continue with their activities after the session, it's just what every parent wants to see."
I believe learning should be fun, active and relevant to the child's interests and needs. I tailor lessons to the child's abilities, learning styles and interests, and include suitable levels of challenge to help them progress. I believe praise and encouragement is conducive to success and in raising a child's confidence if they are struggling. I am used to working with a wide range of children who have different abilities and interests, and can quickly assess the level they are working at and tailor their learning to suit their needs and interests.
My name is Christine Borg. I grew up in a small island where my education led me to a Bachelor’s degree in General Medical Studies. However, the artistic fibre in me eventually took me to London to study Drama and in 2017, I graduated with a Master’s degree from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
I returned to my family and pursued my other life interests: dogs, target shooting, and SCUBA diving amongst other things. I had to earn a living besides trying to put into practice my Acting career. I managed to balance work and getting some experience in Theatre, TV, film, Radio voice overs and singing.
The best balance of work and satisfaction came through teaching but, after Summer 2019 my life brought me back to the UK, where I now live. I took the first good job that came along, solely to earn my living.
However, I want my work be worthwhile besides being my financial income. Satisfaction in my job is of the utmost importance to me, and I believe I can achieve this through teaching.
My qualifications allow me to teach English to students form 3-year-olds to adults, GCSE level Chemistry, Biology and Physics and Science to 8 to 16-year-old students.
As I wish to continue teaching Online, I use all my experience from my TEFL qualifications and Drama school days to improvise and make my lessons as interactive and as interesting as possible. In English classes, in particular, I can help the students with their pronunciation and conversation by giving them confidence in themselves. I try to apply a positive outlook in whatever I am teaching. Engaging with the student is the basis for learning.
