Hi! Welcome to my page!
Who am I? My name is Devinder and I'm an online tutor. I love teaching and I hope you will be interested in the academic services I have to offer. My 5-star reviews can be read here: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100069584765662&sk=reviews HOW WOULD I BENEFIT AS A STUDENT? If you are a parent or carer, then your children can benefit from private lessons in English (up to KS2), Maths (up to GCSE), Science (GCSE), Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. This way of learning would not only boost their confidence but also increase their results in 11+ entrance, SATs and GCSEs placing them ahead of their peers. Past pupils sitting their entrance exams have gone on to apply to their chosen schools and university with proven results. Students would have access to vast resources including a catalogue of at least 200 books full of techniques and past papers to help support and boost their education. Learners are offered a personalised tuition plan catered to their individual needs, goals and learning styles. Learners can expect to have their knowledge gaps identified and appropriate resources selected to help them close those specific gaps, in a caring yet challenging manner. Tuition is not a side hustle for me, it's my main vocation. Not only does that mean more attention for your child but also availability during daytime through school holidays or if you are based overseas. WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM YOUR LESSONS With +10,000 hours teaching experience, you can expect a lot. Firstly, there is a free consultation so you can assess whether we make a good fit. All lessons are prepared in advance to make the best use of tuition time. Curriculum-aligned material is taught, learners’ understanding is checked systematically, misconceptions identified accurately and clear and direct feedback is provided. In doing so, knowledge gaps are identified and content repeated to plug gaps where appropriate and embed learning. Common errors are shared to help student prevent making them in their practice and in their exams. I use a collaborative, interactive, online whiteboard which is free and simple for my students to use: no holding aloft shaky notepads aimed at the webcam. This allows me to watch and check students' understanding in real time. Unlike other tutors, I do not use Zoom/Google Meet or Teams. I subscribe to a special educator platform which has been rated 5-star by its users. Using the `I Do, You Do, We Do` model, students are told what they need to know and how to do it, then we work on a task together to help student become more confident with new learning and finally student individually uses what they have been shown to demonstrate proficiency using practice questions or repeating back to me what they have learned. EXAM PREPARATION STRATEGY Construct a solid foundation of knowledge Exam technique tips Practice (practice practice!) past papers in the weeks/months preceding exam SKILLS OFFERED Excellent, deep subject area knowledge of curricula Strong ability to explain concepts in clear and simple terms Engagement with students of assorted abilities and backgrounds QUALIFICATIONS I hold a Bsc (Hons) Biochemistry from a Russell Group University and a PgDip Analytical Chemistry. I spent the first two years of my university programme studying maths. I'm DBS checked and my qualifications and certificates are available for inspection.

I am a very experienced, friendly primary school KS2 teacher. I know the KS2 curriculum very well and have taught it for many years. My aim is to offer personalised tutoring, employing my abundant knowledge of varied activities that can make all the difference to a student who may be struggling to learn or who needs to boost their confidence.
I have a wide range of activities and I know where excellent activities online are, just from my considerable previous experience. My teaching always includes as many kinaesthetic hands-on activities and short quizzes and opportunities for the pupil to recap and reinforce their learning.

I have been teaching ever since I graduated from the Pedagogical Institute; working in schools, both abroad and in the UK, mainstream and special needs. And for the past twelve years, I am happy to work as a tutor with students who inspire and motivate me to continue in my profession.
I tailor my lessons to suit the needs of each of my students. I identify learning gaps, devise study plans, prepare learning materials and help children to develop fearless learning attitudes.
If your child's grades are slipping at school, tutoring is the best option where your child will gain confidence in the subjects they are behind.
I tutor students of varied ages and abilities and provide learners with opportunities to explore their skills and celebrate their achievements.
I find tutoring work most rewarding as it allows me to give targeted help to each individual learner and see the results.
Zoom/online option is available. It is a sure way forward for distance learners.

I am passionate about teaching and education, and have recently achieved a Masters with Distinction in Teaching and Learning from University of Herts, as well as completing a Primary Education degree in 2013. I lead Primary English and am in my eighth year of teaching, currently with Year 5/6.
I have been teaching for 8 years and am currently teaching full-time in a mixed Year 5/6 class for a fourth year, I have also taught in Year 3 and 4. I have a 2:1 in Primary Education from Winchester University as well as an MA Distinction in Teaching and Learning from the University of Hertfordshire.
I have a very good knowledge of the primary curriculum and expectations for each Key Stage. Being the English lead at school means I also have a good knowledge of teaching phonics and reading/writing across the age groups, however I am also extremely confident in teaching Maths. I can be flexible in teaching either primary aged children or those in their beginning years of secondary school.
Due to my experience, I am confident in teaching and supporting children with a range of abilities and needs, as well as across a range of topics. Building a positive relationship with your child is key to me helping them develop a mindset and attitude to their learning which helps them make progress and feel confident.
Outside of teaching I love long walks (especially with my cheeky cockapoo puppy!), cooking, reading, yoga, macrame and socialising. I live in Hitchin and teach in Welwyn Garden City - I would be willing to travel around these two areas.
As I am actively teaching in a school, I am fully DBS checked and up-to-date on recent training and educational initiatives. If a convenient time is unavailable on the schedule listed here, please contact me to arrange an alternative time.

Hello everyone!
Maths might be interesting or furstating. If it is a Phobia for you as well I am sure I can help you in that. Very few people find mathematics interesting it is because they have learned it that way. And trust me I know techniques they use

I am committed to not only helping students understand mathematical concepts but also to instil confidence in their own abilities. I firmly believe that learning is a journey, and making mistakes along the way is acceptable. I encourage my students to embrace their errors as valuable learning opportunities and continually improve their skills. I aim to make a difference whether big or small in the academic ability of any of my students. I believe encouragement and discipline are mandatory actions that must be implemented towards each student to maximise their progression and academic growth. I am excited to be a part of any student's journey towards confidence and academic excellence.
My passion for tutoring stems from a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives, whether it's through small improvements or significant breakthroughs. I am committed to providing a safe and nurturing space for students to ask questions, explore mathematical concepts, and develop a deep understanding of the subject matter. Beyond academic success, I want to help children grow into confident, critical thinkers who can apply their mathematical skills to real-life situations.
