Growing up, I spent 8 years playing in a church band before heading to university. Although I went on to study engineering and then human resources, I continued teaching music — whether online or face-to-face.

As a seasoned Guitar Tutor with many years of experience teaching students of all levels and ages. Over the years I have helped many aspiring musicians realise there musical dreams, where it’s to learn to play for pleasure or preparing for performances or auditions. I have a wealth of experience teaching multiple genres including, rock, pop, blues and jazz. I also have a keen ear for identifying areas of improvement that can take students playing to the next level.
In addition to teaching, I am a accomplished performer, having played in various bands and gigs throughout my career. I possess a deep understanding of performance techniques, and I can impart this knowledge to you to help you confidently take the stage and shine.
My online lessons will take place over zoom. During these lessons you will learn essential techniques such as strumming, fingerpicking, chord progressions, scales and song writing. As well as teaching you how to play your favourite songs. You will have the opportunity to explore multiple genres, Including rock, pop, blues, jazz and classical and gain a understanding of music theory and how it applies to guitar playing.

I decided to launch DMS due to the passion I have for music and to make it a platform to be able to offer opportunities to students and adult learners that they may not be able to get anywhere else.
Music has been part of my life for a very long time. I was lucky enough to have two of the most amazing guitar tutors that anybody could have asked for. One of which became a very big inspiration for what I am doing now.

One of the great joys of playing an instrument is to become able to capture the emotive force that the artistes you so admire can evoke.
Discover how they do it. What scales they use, how they create their sublime musical phrases, what their vibrato is like, what ornamentation they favour...
No doubt you want to get a foot in the door fast.
Learn some power chords and play along with your favourite records in the first lesson.
Don't feel abashed about lacking any previous experience. It's not neccessary. I've taken many adult total beginners up to public performance level.
Music theory, Rock, Pop, Acoustic Guitar and Bass Grades.
You don't have to do them but it's nice to be able to guage your progress and if you're hoping to do a GCSE in music or go to a music college being able to show your credentials can be essential to getting an audition.
My students have a 100% pass rate across 30 years.
I've been playing guitar since I was 12 years old. I'm now 26 in march (2023). Have an encyclopedic knowledge of all things music related. Will cater to any genre interests on the guitar. I can also teach Acoustic guitar as well. Jitsi meet up calls are preferred wherever possible due to them being free while a zoom meet up is only free for the first 40 minutes. I charge. £20 for half an hour or £40 for an hour. Currently, able to play some grade 8 (UK) level pieces.

Guitarist and musician currently studying at Leeds conservatoire to get my degree in popular music. I have 8 years of experience playing electric guitar and bass and I have got my grade 8 for guitar with trinity rock and pop.
I chose to study Mathematics at A-Level and then univeristy not out of some deep love for the subject, but simply because it was fun and challenging. It is problem solving to the extreme which requires grit and optimism. Far from being the stereotypical maths student, I enjoyed music (I played in a band during university), surfing and mountaineering. Having a wide interest base gives me life experience that means I am approachable and able to relate easily to people.
In sixth form I tutored a Year 9 pupil heading into GCSEs who lacked confidence when it came to Maths. Over the proceeding months we focussed on areas of struggle and building confidence. She passed her GCSEs and is now happily studying in univeristy. This lead to me teaching GCSE level Maths in Tuscany, Italy, over a month during my second year at Cardiff University. This was a unique and rewarding experience, with a fair share of communication challenges due to teaching in what was for some students their second or third langauge! However, I was commended on my communication skills and positive nature.
After completing univeristy in June 2020, I worked various jobs while preparing for Royal Marines training. I began Recruit Training early 2022. Ultimately I was unsuccesful during training but am now happily studying a MSc in Economics at Durham Univeristy. I have many years of teaching experience from youth clubs and schools in Denmark and in the UK. I am registered on the update service (Enhanced DBS). I am very keen to use my experience and the knowledge that I have to teach others. Educational background: I have attended different music schools and courses both in Denmark and in the UK. I did a one-year diploma course at MI, Musicians Institute (GIT), studying guitar, together with band integration, leadership, music theory, and songwriting. I enjoy teaching lessons that are relevant to each individual students. This requires a bit more work for me to prep but I think my students benefit from every lesson being tailored to them. We'll learn all the chords, scales, technique and knowledge encountered in the grade books but through more unique and engaging content.
