I am a qualified Maths Teacher and an online Tutor. I use a variety of techniques and resources in order to teach and inspire minds. I am fully DBS cleared and have taught through the changes in education over the years and am fully knowledgeable in the current 9-1 GCSE specification. I am comfortable teaching all walks of learners and try my 100% best to make sure that learning is relevant, engaging and fun.
I have a plethora of resources so that students hit their target grade or beyond. In my experience, students tend look at questions as a big problem rather than thinking that questions are made up of smaller steps within a problem. Each student will receive an individual plan at the start of lesson one.
I am also a GCSE Expert Examiner for Edexcel, marking both Foundation and Higher Maths. I also teach at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 2.
I am able to teach online and comfortably at your home, however, due to the current situation with COVID, I prefer to teach online. I use a Huoin pen and tablet with an onscreen whiteboard. I will provide full resources; questions, answers, solutions and exam papers relevant to your exam specification. I teach all topics in Maths and keep up to date with any new developments with exam boards.
I have been a Middle Leader, a Lead Practitioner, a Director of Learning, and have led successful STEM classes and am passionate about the subjects surrounding Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. I also run a debate team at my current school; have been a finalist at The University of Leeds three consecutive years with “Solutions for the Planet” programme and have taken students as finalists at The Houses of Parliament with a solution on sustainability.
I have a great deal of experience as a tutor. I have been working at one of the UK's leading Grammar Schools for the past four years. I tutor maths GCSE and A level online. I have also conducted numerous online webinars/ webclasses and drop-in sessions for students across the country for A Level maths. I love to make maths engaging. My instagram and YouTube accounts (Mark-a-minute maths) has had a wide following from students and I consistently post short 1 minute videos for students to get snappy, bitesize reviews of topics and model answers to exam questions.

I am also an examiner with AQA, Edexcel, Cambridge International and OCR examination boards for both GCSE and A Level. The best part of my job is making Maths enjoyable and accessible to my students. It is hugely rewarding when your students achieve their potential grades and progress to the next stage of their academic life. I am very passionate about my subject. Before teaching, I worked as a Senior Analyst Programmer in a Software house specialising in Banking software. As a Head of the Languages Department and Primary and Secondary Teacher in a school in Leighton Buzzard for over 10 years, I believe I am the right language tutor for you!
I'm fluent in Spanish, ( my native language) French, and English and have spent many years teaching and studying languages. I completed a bachelor's degree in Spanish and English at Manchester/ALmeria University (2008) and studied Spanish and English Literature in school (GCSE and A-Level) so I know how daunting grammar can sometimes feel and how stressful language/literature exams can be... but also how great it feels when you finally start getting it!
On the language side of things, I can help you with your writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and exam technique. I can help you with conversational skills if you're just looking to go traveling or make Spanish/French friends.
On the literature side of things, a large part of my degree was literature-based, so I would be very happy to help any Literature students if you are struggling with the subject.
If you're in school and really want to get an A/A* (7/8/9), I can make sure you achieve your goal. Whatever your current grade, an A/ A*/7/8/9 is achievable. I have taught these exams for many years so I know how they work and how you can do well in them. We will work closely with the syllabus and go through some secrets of exam technique to make sure you get a top grade.
Alternatively, if you're wanting to learn languages for travel or business purposes (or just for fun!) we can tailor the lessons 100% to suit your needs. I also teach courses to adults from beginners to advanced and I always tailored to each student's need. I also teach English to foreigners to achieve the Cambridge Examinations ( A1 to C1).
I effectively deliver and plan online outstanding lessons and the feedback that I have received from parents, pupils, and adult learners have always been very stimulating. I strongly believe in the student centered-approach as always shown in my lesson plans. I believe that all students are individuals with very specific needs so differentiation has always been at the forefront of my teaching practice. I find it very important to address any students’ needs in order to get the best potential out of every single student. I am successful in establishing high expectations of behavior in the classroom whilst still developing positive relationships with my classes.
I love online teaching as well as face to face. I have been doing online experience for the last 5 years and I have helped most of my students to achieve an excellent language level. I use Google Meets, Google Classroom, or even Skype for online teaching. I generally send and post great, fun, and genuine resources so that the student can access them easily and successfully. There are so many fun online resources that I could provide you to enhance your language skills, especially in Speaking; what a great way to speak the language with a native speaker! You will also gain a broad cultural awareness and your fluency and pronunciation will speed up!
Contact me and ask what it is that you need and I will make sure you will get the best of your language skills!
On the other hand, I am a 200hr yoga certified instructor for the last 2 years and I can give you online 1-1 lessons from beginners to more advanced practitioners. I can also give the online yoga class via zoom to you and your whole family! If you have children, you will be glad to know that I have trained to teach kids yoga and I have been organizing yoga workshops in primary and secondary schools.
I have worked professionally as an actor, a playwright and as a singer-songwriter for the past five years, since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2016. Last year I wrote, composed and starred in a new original musical which is being revived again this year. Later, in the summer, I will play my first festival set as a solo singer-songwriter. I have been playing guitar, keyboards and writing songs for over ten years. My first album and tour as a singer-songwriter are due next year.
At school, I received 8 grade 1 (the highest possible grade) Standard Grade Awards (equivalent of GCSEs). I then received 5 grade A (the highest possible grade) Higher Awards (equivalent of A Levels), as well as receiving Best In School Awards for English and History, I received Certificates of Merit for the three other subjects: Music, French and Maths.
I have worked as a Nanny, teaching instruments to under 10s, and have extensive experience teaching drama school auditionees of all ages, students having gone on to earn places in RADA, Guildhall, LAMDA, Central and many others.
Music lessons in Tetbury, UK.
I am a French and English tutor based in the UK offering language and literature tutorials for learners of all levels.*
Since studying French with English Literature at The University of Surrey, I have been helping my students learn both French and English via Zoom. I am proud to say that they have been scoring highly in both written and oral tests.
After working for language schools in Rennes such as Institut-Mondia-Langues and Les Petits Bilingues, I have begun teaching group classes of both primary and secondary aged students in addition to one-to-one tutorials. Please note that the maximum number of students per class is 8 only, ensuring that the children benefit from teacher-student interactions.
Throughout the pandemic, I have helped my students to grow in confidence as their levels of French and English improve, engaging with both languages and developing comprehensive written and communication skills.
What I offer:
• First class free of charge to discuss students' learning needs
• Group classes (up to 8 people) and one-to-one sessions
• French and/or English language lessons for primary and secondary school students
• Reading confidence workshops for students in need of additional support
• Spelling, phonics & grammar tutorials
• Confidence-boosting speaking sessions to encourage students to enjoy language learning
• Help with any French/English school homework that is proving indecipherable
• Literature tutorials for students studying British, American and/or French literature
• I also provide proofreading and translating services (French-English)
My tutorials are well prepared, structured, and adapted to your child/ren’s learning style/s. The first Zoom call is an opportunity to discuss their learning objectives; these might be goals such as developing their spoken language skills in French/English, or something more specific such as providing additional support for students with dyslexia.
Whatever your child’s learning needs may be, they will be given a structured learning plan targeting the aspects that they would like to work on (speaking, listening, writing, vocabulary, grammar etc).
In my classes, students benefit from language acquisition as well as learning, which is essentially the process of identifying sounds > associating those sounds with meaning > imitating the sounds to convey meaning.
This process takes practice, so I focus on overcoming obstacles that might inhibit fluency in speech or coherency in writing. For example, many of my students struggle with spoken expression at first due to a lack of confidence. To help with this, I create an interactive learning space where students feel comfortable making mistakes, empowering them to make progress.
Homework and in-class activities are used to target the areas where your child/ren may face difficulties, which we then work through together in class.
*Si vous êtes débutant/e/s, je peux vous expliquer en français :-)

The foundations of my teaching focus are based on the simple approach that every child is unique. I offer a flexible approach to tutoring and cater for personalisation of an individual's own understanding and ideas to inform planning of tutor-class content rather than purely teacher-directed activities. I take time to understand each individual learner and present an engaging teaching content with correctly differentiated levels of challenge, consistently setting and adapting high yet achievable expectations. My philosophy is that a good teacher motivates, inspires, nurtures, listens and challenges and this should also be translated into the field of tutoring, where the tutor acts as a facilitator to help children reach their full individual potential across all areas. My proven track record in 1:1 private tuition includes: 100% success rates with entrance exams, KS1/2/3 curriculum support to address misconceptions, secure concepts and boost progress, KS1-5 MFL teaching and learning. Across all of these areas, I have successfully reignited a love of learning, discovered hidden talents, restored confidence and boosted self-esteem. I have many clients who would be happy to act as referees for the work I have done, if necessary.
My core expertise lies in the ares of:
Exam Preparation Classes:
Year 6 SATS, 11+. 13+ and IESB Entrance Exams
National Curriculum across KS1 and KS2
KS1-5 Spanish and French
KS3 English and Maths
I provide extra support, confidence building, intervention and consolidation of school learnt concepts ias well as provision of additional stretch and challenge activiites to move learning forward as well as tutoring for exam preparation purposes e.g. SATS practice and techniques, entrance exam preparation and KS3/4 Spanish and French.
Throughout my teaching career to date, I have assumed full responsibility for independent lesson planning, execution and assessment which includes implementation of a wide variety of teaching and learning strategies such as keeping young learners active at all times, adapting materials to suit different learner styles and interests, providing a meaningful and fun learning context, making sure that all activities are achievable yet offer some degree of challenge and implementing varied strategies to support weaker learners. Whilst working in Spain, I gained a sound knowledge and awareness of principal EFL methodologies and theories of language acquisition. This knowledge has been instrumental in ensuring a positive transfer of these to classroom practice in England in provision for EAL children as well as teaching French and Spanish to English mother tongue children.
I have a wealth of teaching and leadership experience gained across both mainstream primary and independent all-through schools. Additionally, I have spent time teaching in Spain in international schools and privately owned English language academies where I worked for several years teaching English and curriculum to children, teenagers and adults. After several years in Spain, I moved back to England to pursue a career in the primary education sector where I have been working on a full-time basis ever since. Many of the vast and varied skills I acquired in a business career previous to teaching have been both relevant and invaluable to aid a successful transition into the profession, both as a class teacher, modern foreign language specialist and private tutor.
I have been working as a class teacher in the primary sector in England for over 10 years now. Accountable for the teaching and learning across various primary year groups, I am responsible for individually and collectively planning and assessing all national curriculum subjects in accordance with school policies, with the ultimate aim of ensuring the highest possible standards of pupil achievement, progress, personal development and well-being. In addition to my day to day class teacher duties, I am also Assessment/HPL/Curriculum and MFL (French and Spanish) Coordinator for whole of school, these additional key school-wide responsibilities require that I keep myself abreast and up to date with all relevant requirements and/or changes. Currently, I am working within the state sector as Year 6 Class Teacher. Having previously worked in an all-through school from nursery to sixth form, I also have experience in teaching Spanish and French at KS3/4 level.
Whilst working previously in Spain as an EFL Teacher with a private English Language Academy, I was responsible for teaching various levels of English to adults, teenagers and Young Learners (YL, from 6 years old). The YL syllabus covered grammatical structures, vocabulary and phonology. As part of the YL courses, I also prepared children for the Young Learners Cambridge examinations. I was also responsible for teaching teenagers and adults of varying levels, including Cambridge English examination preparation classes (FCE, CAE and Proficiency).
I have been teaching Spanish for over 20 years at secondary level; I am currently Subject Leader for Spanish at my current school and I have a wealth of experience preparing students for GCSE and A level examinations. I am also an AQA A level examiner with in depth knowledge of the A level curriculum.I have also been a tutor and a teacher for Adult learners as well as teaching Spanish at University level (Durham University) for 3 years.
I am a native Spanish speaker and I am a patient person who forms good working relationships with her students.
I have taught Chemistry at a large Leicestershire 14-18 School for over 28 years. I have been Head of Chemistry at this school for 20 years. I teach AQA GCSE Chemistry and AQA A-Level Chemistry. I have also taught Nuffield A-Level Chemistry. I have tutored AQA, EDEXCEL, OCR and OCR(Salters) A-Level Chemistry and AQA and OCR GCSE Chemistry. I have tutored students outside of school for 26 years with much success. Many of my A-level students have achieved 100% in A-level Chemistry modules and I have tutored many GCSE students who have achieved 100% in all their GCSE modules for GCSE Chemistry.I am also a Principal Examiner for IGCSE Chemistry. I have marked both Foundation and Higher IGCSE Chemistry papers. I have been an Examiner for Singapore A-level Chemistry. Both these roles have helped me to recognise the difficulties that students have with both GCSE and A-level examination questions and the way to answer them successfully. I use this knowledge to the students advantage in my lessons.I tutor online using Skype, Zoom, Teams and FaceTime which works really well. I have had many students who have gone on to study medicine and other medical degrees.I also write multiple choice GCSE Chemistry questions for an exam board.
My approach is variable depending on the ability of the student and what they are struggling on at the time. However I believe that the practicing of past paper questions is vital for examination success. It is the attention to detail which counts in an examination and I make sure all of my students know everything in the syllabus and have practiced lots of different styles of examination question.I tutor online using Skype, Zoom, Teams and FaceTime usually texting, emailing or messaging students examination practice questions which works really well. At the moment all my tutoring is online. Please get in touch with me if you are interested. It is a very successful way of tutoring.
I tutor students from all over the world. As well as tutoring many students in the UK at the moment I tutor students in Dubai (using BOTIM), India, Italy and New Zealand.

***Places beginning to be filled***
I studied under leading, and in some cases the authoritative, scholars in their subject fields, ranging from early Republican Rome and the Soviet Union in the Cold War, to Human Rights and International Political Theory. An interdisciplinary academic by nature, my teaching methods are governed by the same rules I maintained as a student; to interchange between rationalised logic and an empathetic understanding of others. This is a core part of my pedagogy which, as I stated in my description, will allow students to take account of their own intellect.
By customising subject dialogue and posing investigative questions tailored to each individual, students will begin to tap into their inner precociousness and start a journey of higher understanding, no matter what age or ability. Putting it simply, no child is the same and I will adapt to the needs of every student to get the best out of our sessions.
If you wish to find out more, I am happy to send information and material that I have created which have been successful. Moreover, I am happy to arrange a one-to-one with any parent or student wishing to discuss and ask questions about my methods and learning strategies, free of charge, on Skype. This will also allow me time to speak to students, acclimatise to their skills and interests and lay out an effective scheme of learning going forward.
Currently I am researching new revolutionary teaching methodologies, which I will continue to develop in the Education Department at the University of Cambridge, having been offered a place to complete my formal teacher training there.
During my time teaching at the John Henry Newman Catholic School, Stevenage, I assisted History and Government & Politics A-Level classes whilst providing one-to-one mentoring to students with learning disabilities. Following a successful period, I was asked to stay on and prepare the year 13 students for their final exams whilst planning and delivering lessons for Year 12 students and the lower years.
Moreover, I was influential in mentoring Year 12 students in the university application process. I provided help and advice in degree selection, personal statements and supervised extra-curricular activities that made candidates stand out (see images). Many of the students I worked closely with are attending Oxbridge or higher ranked Russell Group universities in the autumn.
In the summer term I was given the responsibility of holding my own undergraduate-style course for the lower-sixth on the topic of the 1930s Holodomor. Following extensive library research and correspondence with previous professors, I began weekly lectures and seminars. The aim was so that these students could write a final 2000-word essay, to be submitted for the annual history competition held by the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain. I formulated and created a course booklet similar to those found at undergraduate level and guided three students who eventually submitted their essays to a top 10 place, 4th place and 1st place position (£1000 cash prize).
Here are some reviews from current Year 13 students that were eager to write recommendations detailing my time at the John Henry Newman Catholic School:
"Pietro worked enthusiastically and diligently with myself and others during History essay competitions and classroom curriculum learning. His encouraging and constructive feedback was extremely prompt, clear, detailed and well communicated. Advice was always offered in a uniquely passionate and patient way which made the learning all the more engaging. He was consistently approachable and conscientious, making a wonderful and highly recommendable tutor for a group or an individual". - Rachel W
"Pietro was extremely helpful in a classroom environment, providing a deeper insight and contrasting views on the chosen subject matter; encouraging us to explore the multiple angles an essay question can be tackled from. He went above and beyond, providing us with extra material such as journals, books and sources to enrich and strengthen our arguments. In regards to working with smaller study groups, Pietro demonstrated clear and in-depth knowledge and was always there to answer our questions and queries. I found learning about the Holodomor Famine fascinating as it was a subject not touched upon in my A Level History course, so it was interesting to see how it had linked to my previous knowledge. From Pietro, I have learned many skills that I will be able to transfer to any subject, from working to a deadline to finding my own material to share in seminar situations". - Izzy H
"Pietro created a fantastic working environment. In class, he was engaging and clearly passionate about the subject. He delivered each lesson in a way that was easily understandable but still got across the complexity of the issues presented. Outside of the class, he was friendly and approachable and created accessible resources to aid in teaching the classwork". - Brad B
"Pietro C. is a knowledgeable and approachable tutor who is always willing to take the time to explain things in as much depth as needed. Under his tuition, I learned the material, and was able to apply it to other situations, in a fun and relaxed environment. Pietro’s teaching, in the end, played a large role in my work being shortlisted in an essay writing competition on a subject I had previously no knowledge on". - Alex P

I have over 15 years of experience, in teaching music to children and adults of all ages. My main profession is individual and group music lessons, within primary schools. I have many private music students - which I have now adapted to teaching, where needed, via skype/zoom or using other digital resources. This method is working incredibly well!
I am the co-founder of a music school (Exeter Music Holiday School), which has been running for 7 years. We offer workshops and individual lessons, throughout every UK, mainstream school holiday. I also play the flute in a Ceilidh band, play in the pit for panto, and have perfomed on various instruments (including vocals), for group concerts and individual performances.
As the 'Wind' section leader, for Exeter Childrens Orchestra (ECO), I am having a wondeful experinece so far, and it has given me the opportunity to brush up on my basic Bassoon skills - which is my next planned venture.
Teaching the following instruments/vocals, in schools and privately has enabled me to tutor to varying degrees, and examination levels (I generally use ABRSM, as the preffered exam board). Here are the instruments I can provide lessons for:
At music school, I run workshops in world music, folk music, tales and art. Storytelling through music. Wind, strings, brass and percussion. Many workshops are adapted to the seasons, outdoor spaces so that we can explore and be inspired. Music really holds no bounderies and can be found everywhere.
I am constantly learning a new instrument, and take the exams through the levels. It keeps me on track with how it feels to learn and coping with exam prep and nerves. Empathy and connections is very important.
Being a parent, I know how important it is, to feel that your child is safe and happy with a mentor. This is why I encourge the take-up of a 'free' initial lesson, so that you feel happy and comfortable with going forward.
Although I do not have any specialist qualifications in working with children and adults with additional needs, I do have lots of experience. I have many wondefullly bright students, within these spectrums, whom have taught me so much. I am more than happy to re-invent the wheel and nurture what is important to each person. My eldest son is a child with autism, and he is an incredibly gifted musicican, who learns by ear and repitition (even though he can read music prefectly well) - as this is how he responds. He feels his way though it, and this makes his very happy. He has also happily sat many exams.
I would love to hear from you. Feel free to get in touch with any questions.
I am a qualified teacher with a specialism in Early Years and the Primary Curriculum. Throughout my 14 years as a teacher, I have been passionate about the development of children's emotional wellbeing and communication, language and literacy (English.)
I work with children who are home educated, school refusers, children who are currently not attending school due to medical needs and those attending school in sessions after school. I have experience working with children with special educational needs and English as an additional language.
I have an up-to-date DBS available through the DSB Update Service.
I'm a German native professional language coach, originally from Berlin, Germany. I enjoy sports, poetry and literature. I teach all levels of German, beginners including A Level and University German, conversational German, GCSE German and intensive exam preparation. Furthermore, I teach commercial classes to provide business German to employees preparing to go to a German speaking country or individuals planning to start a career in any of the German speaking countries. I also offer cold war specific history sessions and holiday workshops. I believe in a "one to one approach" and teaching through positive encourgagement rather than "tell and do". I plan all classes according to level and the targets of my student and report back to the parents if required. Students are always encouraged to express themselves and develop a natural flow. Intensive exam preparation is fully comprehensive. I provide all materials for all lessons, all levels and students are encouraged to take completed work home to revise so that all work is understood at all times. During term, holidays double lessons and intensive exam preparation workshops are available upon request. When will you have your first lesson?
I have taught Maths successfully for 34 years in an Outstanding School, upto GCSE. I can do online tuition, using a Wacom tablet and Openboard, always focussing on improving your confidence in Maths, and developing your Problem solving skills in line with the New style GCSE. I offer catch up lessons for students in Years 7 to 11, as well as continued support right up to their GCSE. I would love the opportunity to support you child in developing their self-confidence in Maths, and achieving if not surpassing their target grades, to reach their true potential.
Please feel free to contact me on the email address above, or email@example.com.
Look forward to hearing from you, to support your child.

I began teaching whilst studying for a PhD 25 years' ago. I worked as a classroom teacher in university/college/and sixth-form environments for over 15 years, latterly as a manager, before deciding to work freelance after moving onto my narrowboat. In the last 6 years I have been working as a private tutor with clients aged from 15 to 55, at subject levels ranging from GCSE to post-graduate.
I love working with individuals and enabling them to recognise their potential within subjects they have previously struggled with. I have often found that, as my experience includes working as an examiner at GCSE and A-level, I am able to explain concepts and subject areas in a way that learners grasp easily in relation to passing exam assessment objectives. Learners often find that they can jump grade boundaries easily, once these assessment objectives have been understood, and they suddenly 'get' what the exam question is asking for...
For me, the key to assessment success is confidence and I therefore work hard to build up a learner's confidence so that they can express their ideas clearly and efficiently within the assessment context they are being examied within.
I work using a number of online platforms (Zoom; Skype; FaceTime etc.) and charge per hour of support provided. This can be in 1-2-1 sessions online, or via email support (for example, feedback on assignments or other work), or a combination of both. I sometimes work with learners for a few sessions on a single assignment or over a period of years across an entire qualification, and have many 'returning learners' who come back to me (sometimes after years) for further support and advice.
I have a First Class degree in English Literature, a Masters in Film History (with Distinction), and nearly 3 decades of classroom experience as a teacher, manager, examiner, and private tutor.
I can support with English Language, English Literature, Media, Film, Photography, Communication Studies and other related subject areas.
I can provide assessment advice, feedback, exam preparation, explanation of key theories and concepts, editing, and proofreading.
I provide a safe and supportive learning environment in which you, or you child, will flourish.
My name is Charanjit and I was born and raised in East London. I have worked extremely hard to establish myself through my education. I truly believed that education will open many doors and shapes the future. I studied at Loughborough university (ranked 4th in the UK) and then joined the Teach First graduate scheme where I studied part time at UCL. I have gained a Qualified Teachers Status as an outstanding teacher.
I have spent the last two years in a school environment and specialise in teaching KS2. My data continuously demonstrates my strong capabilities as a teacher, I am firm in my approach and produce results.
I originally trained and worked as a secondary school english teacher, but I found the pressure in schools led to teachers being overwhelmed with paperwork and the teaching element almost became a lesser priority. Now I prefer to focus on private tuition where my primary aim is teaching and enabling students to achieve. At Perfect Plus Tutoring, we strive to create an academic atmosphere which is enjoyable as well as beneficial. I offer private tuition to students in North Kent, Medway and Maidstone areas.
I have a team of tutors who are all DBS checked and either currently teach or have taught in schools.
