Computer Science Tutor, Teacher
My name is Ahmed and I enjoy teaching. This is why I've chosen this profession which allows me to deal with people from different backgrounds, understand their needs and take a challenge of helping them. The most important thing for me is seeing my student's satisfaction and I feel honoured when my students leave the session with positive learning.
I'm patient (as this is one of the important tools in order to be a successful teacher), friendly, and make sure to keep a rapport among my students. I feel it is important as a teacher to make your student believe that you are his/her mentor as a tutor/teacher and you are there to help them to get the best out of their personality.
Currently, I am working as a head of department in one of the Grammar Schools.

Qualified and experienced Computer Science/ICT Teacher. I have been teaching for over 8 years within Milton Keynes. I started my career at Denbigh School and have just recently moved to Watling Academy where I am in charge of the computing curriculum. I teach Computer Science and ICT at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level across all the major Exam Boards. As well as teaching I am currently the Computing Hub Lead (one of 34 in the country to improve Computer Science education in schools around the country) for the NCCE. I regularly run training sessions for teachers to improve their subject knowledge and I run training sessions for a-level students and teachers through Isaac Computer Science. I regularly mark for OCR exam board at GCSE level and have done this for the last 7 years. Doing this gives me a really good understanding of what the exam board are looking for in the answers from students. I also can program in Python, www.*** , Small Basic and Java. I also have a thorough understanding of database concepts.
In my spare time I love to go to the cinema, running and meeting up with family and friends.

I started Piano at age 5 and immediately felt a natural connection with it. I shortly acheived grade 8 piano with distinction 5 years later aged 10. The examiners report said "You have a genuine feel for the piano. All the very best for your future music-making." I then acheived diploma piano (ATCL) aged 14 and grade 8 violin one year previously.
Along with winning prizes such as Milton Keynes young musician of the year (U18) aged 12, I have used my music to get me offers from Eton, Harrow, Winchester and I chose Eton, for which I got a full music scholarship.
I am also a keen academic, currently studying computing at Imperial College London and have recently been elected department representative for well-being and welfare. At Eton, I was chosen as the secretary of the Computer Science Society where I started and hosted a club to teach younger students coding. I acheived 10 9s at GCSE including Maths, English Literature, English Language, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Spanish, Geography, Music Technology and Computer Science. I also acheived 3 A*s at A level including Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science
Whether you need help with basic maths, more advanced topics or you have a concert coming up, I'm here to assist you! Let's work together to boost your maths skills and confidence!
