Khalid spent the first 12 years of his working life as a professional actor after training at East 15 Acting School. He then worked as a Social Housing professional as a housing officer, manager and policy officer for the following 20 years. In his own time he trained at Landmark Education 1992 –’94 in personal development and interpersonal/ coaching skills enhanced his competence based qualification in 1992. He has 20 years life coaching/mentoring experience on a one to one and group basis and has over 25 years voluntary sector experience in the UK facilitating workshops and groups. More recently, over the last five years he has focused on small business coaching and mentoring entrepreneurs one on one whilst developing online coaching platform with University partners.

Hello, my name is Megan and I am the founder of Mind Over Matter Fitness and Nutrition. My main role is currently as a personal trainer; however, my original training is as a nutritionist. I graduated in 2006, from Oxford Brookes University with a 1st class honours in Food Science and Nutrition. I have always had a passion for nutrition, but initial more as a chef, working in a small restaurant for 4 years. I graduated and worked for 6 years in the research field, specialising in Glycaemic Index, Insulinemic Index and Weight Loss. My experiences in research enable me to provide my clients with up-to-date and reliable scientific advice which is proven to work.
Although I have always been an active person I have never been someone that has ever been 'sporty'. I hated PE at school and would do anything to get out of it!! My interest in physical activity and exercise started approximately 17 years ago when my mum was diagnosed with osteoporosis, as such she was told to undertake weight bearing activity. So, in support mum I took up running. I can honestly say that for the first 3 weeks I hated it, I moaned constantly and dreaded every session. Suddenly week 4 seemed easier and I could start to see changes in my body shape, I think this was the moment I was addicted to exercise!
From these humble beginnings I have gone from running 10 mins three times a week to regularly competing in multi-day ultra-marathon events and strength training. I have always been an average runner, however, through sensible training and eating I am proud to say that in May 2017 I came 3rd Female in a 97 mile, 3-day ultra-marathon. This passion for my own training has helped me to become a personal trainer and share my passion for exercise and nutrition with my clients.
I love nothing more than to see people achieve their goals, have fun training and most importantly find a greater confidence in themselves and go on to achieve what they never believed possible.

Prior to becoming a Hypnotherapist and NLP Master Practitioner, I spent over a decade working with children in various child-care settings, ranging from Private Day Nurseries (from a Nursery Nurse level up to Nursery Manager), in Schools, Crèches, as a Nanny and for the NHS as part of the Health Visiting and Midwifery Team. I qualified as a Nursery Nurse in 1997 (NNEB) and was proud to achieve one of the best portfolios nationwide in that year as well as obtaining the Mulberry Award, presented by my college for outstanding endeavours throughout my training.
Now, in my work as a Hypnotherapist and NLP Master Practitioner and trainer, I am able to use both sets of skills. I relate to children and students in a way that empowers them and engages them with their imagination to create the subconscious developments that need to be made. For me, NLP4Kids is a result of my childcare expertise and my strategic skills in NLP and Hypnotherapy colliding! I specialise in working with children who have selective mutism (a form of anxiety disorder) and also work with those who have low confidence, separation anxiety or behavioural problems as a result of family traumas such as divorce and separation.
