I have enjoyed an extensive career teaching secondary school students Chemistry across KS3, GCSE and A-level Chemistry for thirteen years. I am a highly enthusiastic person who strives to succeed in every task I undertake. I graduated from UCL in 2005 with a Bsc Chemistry, followed by a PGCE in Science from Kings College London. I have taught in the state sector, a grammar school and the private sector; for the last ten years, I have taught in a prestigious private secondary school for girls in south London.
I have a vast experience teaching KS3, GCSE, IGCSE and A-level Chemistry. For the last 5 years, I have delivered tailored teaching to IGCSE and A-level students only.
In my daily teaching in school, I provide personalised sessions identifying the most effective approach to assist the students’ needs, improve their understanding and ensure that they are fully prepared for their exams. I provide regular, honest and clear feedback to ensure that the students are on target to meet their desired academic goals.
The biggest problems students have are focus and motivation. In my daily teaching, I provide a structured and engaging approach to ensure the very best use of time, so that students enter the exam room feeling confident in their abilities.
My extensive teaching experience will allow me to promptly identify the most effective approach for students to learn and understand scientific content and their applications.
I am committed to providing the highest quality teaching/tuition for my students by not only ensuring excellent understanding of chemical/scientific concepts but also developing and applying a positive outlook and growing mind-set.
I have 30 years of teaching experience in a range of school in the UK and abroad. I have tutored students and seen my students grow more confident in Science. I focus on developing the conceptual understanding in Science and on examination skills.

Having been a student and now a teacher of Science. I know I am able and equipped to help your child achieve the best possible grade.
I am a passionate teacher of the sciences who is able to use my subject knowledge to enable pupils to understand content in context.
Every child is able to achieve his/her best with the right support and right individual directing their path and helping them to manoeuvre smoothly through the subject content. Which I will be able to do. Some students need extra scaffolding to enable them to access the information given.
Do get in contact to discuss further and be on your way to success.
Prior to teaching I have worked in life science Reasearch and Development and in Biopharamceutical research, sales and marketing. I also worked a part-time voluntary teaching assistant in primary and seconday schools for 2 years. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.
My background prior to teaching brings additional experience and skills to my teaching. Chemistry is my specialist subject. I have taught and tutored all sciences successfully to years 7 to 11, and have taught and tutored Chemistry and Biology at A level.
I am 51 years old, an experienced teacher of Science (First class graduate) with specialisation in Chemistry & Maths. I have over 20 years experience of teaching GCSE/A-Level (13 years in the UK, London & 12 years in India, New Delhi). I have taught in several schools of West London, Surrey & Berkshire and now expertise in 1 - 2 - 1 tutoring.
Start from the basics, fill the gaps in your knowledge, have a good foundation and then move on to the advanced concepts is the fundamental idea.
There is a big jump from GCSE to AS- Level standard. Many pupils, who have secured high grades in GCSE plan to leave promising subjects like maths & chemistry just after a few months of studying in the sixth form. My question is: What is the reason?? Very simple pupils are not ready for this transition to sixth form. Parents & pupils, please have a word before making any decision.
I am teaching in the UK since 2005, and my services were advertised by wensite Tutor Hunt & First Tutors.
My approach to tutoring is variable depending on the students needs. I can very quickly identify what needs to be done and can then promptly choose an appropriate approach which will lead to understanding and learning. www.*** always get an immediate boost in confidence after the very first lesson. I have been a teacher and tutor for over 20 years with 15 years as Head of Chemistry in www.*** and Independent schools teaching students of all abilities. I am familiar with most exam boards including; AQA, OCR A, OCR www.*** , Edexcel and others too. My students learn the material quickly and are then able to complete past paper style questions with much more confidence.

Have been at Kingston grammar school for 6 years and gone through the private school intensive system and know how the process goes and know the specification for maths and science like the back of my hand. An asset I would say that I offer is for tutoring in preparation for entrance exams as I know what key skills schools are looking out for in the exams and the level of understanding required. I myself got into Kingston grammar on the waiting list one of the last people and I know the struggle it is especially at a young age, however over time and working with younger children from 7-15 have learnt and developed techniques which help undertanding of content in a simple way.
I'm a friendly and supportive tutor with a wide range of teaching and tutoring experience. Each student is different, and not all methods will work for all students - with that in mind, I always begin by discussing where the student is currently, what they would like to achieve from their course, and how they prefer to work. We can then find a way to move forward together.
I use questioning, online and paper-based resources to support students as they progress. It is essential that students have a good understanding of the key scientific concepts, as well as good exam technique - so we focus on both of these areas during our time working www.*** ;
I have 5 years of experience teaching in the greater London area, and more than 10 years of experience one-to-one tutoring in both London and www.*** ;
