Science Clinic Private Tutors was founded in 2010. Our vision was to help struggling children understand the concepts of the major subjects which are sought after by many colleges & universities. Our tutoring was mainly in the main subjects (Maths, all 3 Sciences & English Language) to exam students only. Because of the huge demand of tutoring in all year groups, we now teach students across the board from Primary (KS1 & KS2) through to GCSE, A-level and University. We were luck to have had colleagues we share the same vision with join us. Now we can teach all subjects from Primary through to GCSE, College /A-levels and Science & Maths at University level. All our teachers / tutors are graduates and qualified teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who understand the National Curriculum. Some of them are examiners at GCSE and A-level, which means they know the exam techniques students need to answer the exam questions properly and get better grades. Within the team, we have professionals with very high qualifications ie Masters Degrees (MSc / MA) and PhDs in various subjects. We can, therefore, be confident to say we are professionals who are dedicated to what we do with proven records in the UK’s most entrance and national exams. We are a tutoring organisation that is defined by its professionalism. Our aim is to provide a personal service. This makes us very different from most tutoring companies that just offer a platform for tutors and students to meet. We speak to clients so that we can match them with the most appropriate tutor for their needs. When this happens, the results can be remarkable & confidence grows. We personally know all our tutors and all have had DBS checks and their qualifications checked before we take them on. We are also a member of The Tutors’ Association (TTA) which was formed in 2013 to provide standards to the tutoring industry.

My name is Mariam and I am a Professional English Tutor. I have over 10 years experience and have dedicated my career to teaching both children and adults, helping them develop their language skills and build confidence in their abilities. Throughout this journey, I have refined my teaching methods to make learning an engaging, interactive, and effective experience for my students.
One of the key techniques I employ in my teaching is the use of presentations. By incorporating visually appealing slides, structured lessons, and clear explanations of grammar, vocabulary and much more.
Additionally, I integrate videos into my lessons to make learning more dynamic and relatable. My teaching methods have led to remarkable success, particularly with children. Many of my young students have gained confidence in their English abilities whether this may reading, writing or speaking . As a result, they actively participate in class, express their thoughts more freely, and develop a genuine love for learning English. Their progress is evident in their academic performance, with many achieving high grades and excelling in their studies. Seeing my students succeed and grow into confident English speakers is one of the most rewarding aspects of my teaching career.

I am an experienced tutor with experience in over 30 schools working with high ability students to achieve top grades as well as working with those in need of special provisions due to their educational needs. I work with SEND pupils in and out of schools.
I am a secondary science teacher working in Birmingham. In my spare time I love singing, baking, painting and reading. I love science practical's and will happily try to teach some of these that can be done at home.
During my A-Levels, I tutored students from Year 7 to Year 11. I also tutor A-Level Biology. This allowed me to be aware of the latest curriculum of each subject and I understand the importance of this as this is one of the ways to achieve success.
To start with, I use a diagnostic test and then tailor my lessons to suit the students' learning styles. I believe this helps the student to grasp the knowledge quickly and understands it well. I prepare the lesson materials similar to exam-style which is crucial for students to score higher grades. I make quizzes for every lesson to start and end with that tell me about students' prior knowledge as well as what the student has learnt in the lecture so that we can build it up later in revision sessions. Giving out homework to finish in their own time, is another way I use for students to understand the topic well enough.
My aim will be to have an impact on students' lives and change the way they view learning.
