I am an experienced specialist Chemistry tutor from the Weybridge area. I have much experience in both the independent and state sectors of education.
I have extensive experience tutoring both GCSE and A Level Chemistry and have a proven track record of significantly increasing grades and educational outcomes for my clients.
Prior to teaching I have worked in life science Reasearch and Development and in Biopharamceutical research, sales and marketing. I also worked a part-time voluntary teaching assistant in primary and seconday schools for 2 years. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.
My background prior to teaching brings additional experience and skills to my teaching. Chemistry is my specialist subject. I have taught and tutored all sciences successfully to years 7 to 11, and have taught and tutored Chemistry and Biology at A level.
I can teach Maths and Chemistry from KS2 to A level. I have been teaching since 1989. I have retired few years back from full time teaching.
I am a graduate who has finished studying Maths with Statistics at Royal Holloway University and I have good maths and science teaching skills. I know what techniques are needed for students to thrive and to have a good learning environment. Along with that, I know what techniques are needed to answer exam questions, so that they can do really well, and for them to find their true potential, but most importantly, for students to have a positive and enthusiastic approach to learning. In terms of teaching, I can teach maths, biology and chemistry at KS3, GCSE and A levels. I teach physics at GCSE and at KS3 level. I have 4 years experience as a private tutor and I teach students in the best possible standards as possible as I am very patient and I understand students difficulties and needs and therefore allow them to succeed. I have had 4 years experience in teaching GCSE and A level subjects, which are maths, chemistry, biology and physics. I have also taught geography in the past. I have taught students in person for the past 4 years. For in person teaching, I have taught in libraries and at schools. The first lesson will be a trial lesson, just to introduce myself and also give an indication of where you are working at for your subjects, so that I can plan the lessons according to your needs further forward. At additional request, I will be able to teach Statistics and Further Maths.
For online teaching, I have taught students using Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meets.
Additionally, I have 4 years of experience in teaching students with SEN, as I have taught these students online and in person. I have taught students with ADHD, autism, anxiety, dyslexia and emotional difficulties.

Hi, I am Anoushka. I am an online tutor with over 4 years of tutoring experience teaching students from KS1 to A Level in mathematics,physics and chemistry. At school, I always found it frustrating when a teacher would simply give us the basic information and expect us to just blindly memorise it. This always presented problems in exams when the question was more out-of-context. So, I want to try to help students get a really strong and thorough understanding of any topic they struggle with, so that they can smash those tricky exam questions which ask for more than just 'basic recall' of information.Understanding is far more effective and time-efficient than memorisation. Hello my name is Louie I am a 19 year old university student currently studying environmental geoscience at the university of southampton. My course is a mixture of Geology including Geochemistry with also Oceanography, Geography and some environmental science aspects like Ecology. At GCSE level I was extremely interested in science particularly Chemistry and Biology. This lead to me getting a 9 in Biology and a 7 in Chemistry at GCSE level and choosing them both at A-level. At A-level I achieved a B grade in both of them which allowed me to study and one of the UK's russel group universities in Southampton. My techniques and teaching methodology:
I prefer to go through exam questions as this prepares the student for the exam. Preferably the student will send me the exam question they want to go over in advance. I will tailor my lesson to their choice of topic/ exam question.
